We speak to people in Newport about one of Wales’ favourite foods: fish and chips. It’s become more and more expensive in recent years, so we ask whether it’s gotten out of hand.

00:00Got on a bus, just bus right up to us, £15 fish and chips. I thought no, no, I ain't buying that.
00:09I eat fish and chips but I buy multi-packs, I guess like six I think in a box, fish.
00:17I buy normal potatoes so I make my own chips or what they're making in the chicken shops.
00:24Some places it's £10 and other places it's £11.
00:31If you've got peas with that, no joke, that's not too bad, I would pay that.
00:35People can't afford it, they've got a struggle aren't they, they can't make people or their kids,
00:44they always say, I'm going to make a fish and chips, they can't afford it.
00:49But if it's getting more and more expensive then people aren't going to want to have it anymore
00:54but I think I have definitely noticed price increases and everything but also fish and chips.
00:58It's not, it shouldn't be that much for what it is.
