00:00James, good to talk to you. How's it going over there?
00:04Yes, well look, Nadia, just a day after Max Stutzman won his incredible gold medal here on
00:10the Place of the Invalides in the centre of Paris, Stutzman known as the Armless Archer and a huge
00:15day for him. Well, today, now it's time for the Mixed Team Compound events which are taking place
00:22as you mentioned right now. We've just seen Indonesia beat Iraq in a very, very tight
00:27round of 16 and right now, as we speak, France are currently facing off against Australia. France,
00:33who are hoping to be able to get through to the quarterfinals, will have the results for you
00:37in just a couple of minutes times as it happens right now. The Compound category that is actually
00:43one of the differences compared to the Olympics, it's not actually part of the Olympics normally,
00:48it's a slightly modern version of archery which is also included in the Paralympics. That's pretty
00:53much one of the only differences that comes with this event compared to the Olympics just a couple
00:59of weeks ago. That happening just now, China got a gold medal once again, this time in the W1
01:06category just earlier on this morning, but also on this very area, just on this very place just
01:11around here, around the bridge you can see behind us, the Pont Alexandre. Just a few hours ago,
01:17the triathlon wrapped up. The triathlon, which of course was delayed by two days, but finally it
01:23was able to go ahead this morning. We had two gold medals for the French, one of those
01:28coming for Alexis Ocancan. I was widely expected that he'd be able to defend his title from Tokyo
01:34and he did so with brilliant style. He managed to finish with three minutes ahead in the race.
01:42This, with all the cheers from everybody who was able to come and cheer him on, because of course,
01:46unlike many of the other events, this is a free one. All you have to do is stand by the side of
01:50the road and go on and cheer your favorite athletes. They've had plenty of blues going
01:55on throughout the rest of the morning. Right now, the podiums are still happening. The podiums,
01:59because there are 11 categories in the triathlon. This, of course, because depending on the
02:06different disabilities so that everybody is regrouped in different ones, but 11 categories,
02:09that's a lot of singing and a lot of anthems still coming our way. The triathlon, which differs in a
02:14few ways, but not that many. In fact, it's actually taking place, it took place in the exact same
02:19spots as the previous triathlon did during the Olympics with the swimming in the River Seine.
02:25Of course, the Bordes d'Avalise and the running taking place just around here as well. Slight
02:29differences, of course, for some, they have guides, others are using handbikes. There are also
02:33tandem bikes that are being used, but there's also, of course, athletes have to change their
02:37prosthetic limbs from one event to another, but they managed to do so. Obviously, we can see
02:43how much training there is that goes into managing to do that very quickly. Then off they go
02:47back into the running or the next event from them. All of that happening in here in the center
02:52of Paris is what Paris has wanted to do, showcase the best landmarks. Today is a perfect example of
02:57how everything is happening just within very small areas. Behind us, there's the bridge that I
03:03mentioned, but just next to us, there's the Eiffel Tower, there's the HĂ´tel de l'Avalise, there's the
03:07Grand Palais next to us. It's pretty incredible when you sit in those stands watching the archery,
03:11you've got bio-postcards to send back home. That's what you'll see on it and that's where
03:16the Olympics are taking place, the Paralympics are now taking place, and it's pretty amazing
03:20to see. We'll be coming back to these sites over the coming days because it's not finished
03:23for the archery just yet. All right, sounds like there's lots for you to enjoy there.
03:28Thanks very much, James Sassina for us there near Onvalide.
