00:04the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean drama series, The Shining Inheritance.

00:08Kate will play the role of Inna Villarazon in the series.

00:20According to Kate, her role in The Shining Inheritance is unique

00:31because her character, Inna Villarazon, is a fighter.

00:34So for this show, I play the role of Inna.

00:38The roles I've played before, she's really a villain.

00:41Of course, Inna is not a villain.

00:43Before this show, which is the first season,

00:45my character as Hope is really fierce.

00:49But for Inna, as a lead, she's not a villain.

00:53She's a fighter.

00:54So that's the difference.

00:56All the roles I've played have challenges.

01:00But for this one, it's different

01:02because my character has a huge responsibility as an older sister.

01:08And then eventually, I'll be a parent to my younger brother

01:12who also has special needs.

01:14So that's the difference compared to the other characters I've played.

01:18Kate is happy with her taping experience in The Shining Inheritance

01:22because her co-stars are easy-going on set.

01:25I'm very much happy with this show.

01:28Although it sounds cliché, my co-stars are really nice.

01:33And I feel so blessed that they're the ones I've worked with on this project.

01:40Because it's really fun to work when the set is easy-going,

01:44when it's just fun and easy.

01:47You don't feel the weight of the scene.

01:50For me, that's what works for me the most

01:53because I feel relaxed.

01:55And I'm able to deliver when I'm relaxed and I'm happy on set.

01:58Kate's preparation for her role was also smooth.

02:01In fact, she even learned how to cook.

02:04I learned simple dishes,

02:06on how to serve,

02:08or even simple things like how to use a spoon or a knife.

02:11Because Inna really knows how to cook and she loves to cook.

02:15So I have to show that to the viewers.

02:18And also, she has a younger brother who has special needs.

02:23So we undergo workshops.

02:25Because it's my first time working with Seth and I'm really excited.

02:29So his role here is very challenging.

02:32So we need to work on that because he has autism.

02:36So we undergo meetings with psychiatrists

02:41so that we know and we can also be guided on how to approach,

02:47what the limit is,

02:49and how to interact with each other.

02:52According to Kate, viewers will be able to see the Filipino values in the Philippine version of Shining Inheritance.

02:58Although in our version,

03:01the highlights are still included from the original one.

03:08One of the lessons that can be learned from Shining Inheritance

03:11is the right to choose your family.

03:16The lesson for me,

03:18that viewers will learn here is that,

03:21we can't deny our family,

03:26no matter how much we dislike them.

03:29It's not our choice.

03:31But that's what God gave us.

03:33But we have the right to choose

03:36who we can be family with.

03:40Whether it's a friend, acquaintance, or a lover,

03:45or even a stranger.

03:46As long as you have the same values and morals,

03:51that's what's important.

03:52And you both respect each other.
