00:22 In a GMA Network.com interview, El thanked the actress for the continuous support of her for her beautiful projects.

00:31 I'm really grateful for GMA. They're giving me a project and it's not just a project.

00:37 This story is really beautiful. And especially because it's a revenge drama, I will accept it.

00:43 I was so happy when I heard the title "Makiling". It's a very interesting title for me.

00:51 Because of this, El was able to make her character appear in the series as Amira.

00:57 I have a better vision of this character because I can play a lot of roles because it's a revenge drama.

01:06 So I really want to give justice to my appearance as Amira.

01:13 And I want to make people feel that I'm that character. That they can feel the pain and anger.

01:21 That's why I was really excited because it's challenging for me.

01:25 In a separate interview with Derek, the actor proudly said that his role in "Makiling" is different compared to his character in "Return to Paradise" where El first played the role.

01:36 It's very different from the past character I did in "Return to Paradise" because I was rich there and it was hard here.

01:44 And maybe the attack is just new because I grew up.

01:50 Like the last time I had a difficult character, I was still young, teens.

01:56 So now, the attack is different. The world I see is different. So the character will be more depth.

02:04 The actor added that Alex's character is more depth in "Makiling".

02:09 My character here, Alex, his archetype is he's a protector and at the same time, he's also bringing depth.

02:20 What I can say here is that the character has a lot of layers and it's fun to do especially when you read the script. The scenes are beautiful.

02:30 Meanwhile, El is very happy that she can work with her boyfriend Derek again in a project.

02:36 I'm so happy because we didn't expect that we will be working together.

02:43 We treat this as work. So whatever comes, we will accept it.

02:51 If ever we talked about it before, what if we won't work together next time? We wasted the time we worked on chemistry.

03:00 Now, we're so happy and excited. That's why we have a lot of preparations.

03:05 Because we really want to give our best here. We trusted Netflix to have another show like this.

03:12 El asked how Derek as a co-actor. This is his answer.

03:17 He leads. At first, he leads as my co-actor. He leads as my boyfriend.

03:25 But then somehow, all throughout the journey, I'm the one who leads as his co-actress.

03:33 So it's like that. It's up and down. We're trying to balance. Whoever has this capacity to do something, he will give.
