00:00Noban, this is quite the cast to be part of. Like, absolutely insane. And you, playing
00:06Dionysus, are Jeff Goldblum's son. What is it like being the son of Jeff Goldblum?
00:13It's great. I've adopted some Jeff Goldblum mannerisms, which I would not be doing because
00:20he's standing right there. But he came up to me and said, and now I'm going to do it,
00:26he's like, Noban, you've got these Armandine eyes. Hazelnut. Hazel. You, Hazel. You're
00:33doing things to me, Noban. So yeah, Jeff, as my dad, loved it.
00:38That was so good.
00:41You have nailed it. Nailed it.
00:42Once I start, I can't stop. So you've got a great background.
00:46I probably would have just let you carry on doing the whole interview like that, because
00:49it was very entertaining. Did he sing to you at any point? Because I've heard there was
00:54singing on set.
00:55Jeff is singing most of the time. He's singing today. He was singing yesterday when we were
01:01doing some press. He's singing every day on set. He's playing piano every day on set.
01:05They just had an upright piano in Mount Olympus where we were filming in Caserta. Yeah, it's
01:13a constant song and dance. I mean, singing in that interview right now as we speak.
01:19Well, that's what I have to try and live up to. Try and get him to sing for me.
01:23It's super easy, by the way. You just T him up.
01:25I will do that.
01:26And then he's gone.
01:28I will do that.
01:29Yeah, just do that.
01:31Okay, tell me about your character, though. What did you love about playing Dionysus?
01:36Yeah, well, Dionysus is the god of pleasure, madness and wild frenzy, and traditionally
01:43in the Greek myths, wine and music and all those sorts of things. So maybe we'll come
01:47back to that. But yeah, he's kind of the god of the good times, but has been so for
01:52millennia. So he's kind of bored of it and he's looking for more meaning out of life,
01:57an eternal life. He's looking for meaning in an eternal life. So he kind of has to reconcile
02:03his relationship with his family, with his mum and dad. Yeah, he's off doing the Dionysus
02:08thing and not really paying much mind. So there's a bit of abandonment issues there.
02:11So behind all the debauchery and the boisterousness, there is a fragile core, which I think becomes
02:19more and more explored as we go on.
