Shortly after he and the rest of his family are brutally attacked by aliens that came from within the ball which turns out to be their space craft. 46:03making them highly reflective and equally distortive.
46:06When we pass over the clouds, the reflection appears larger.
46:09When we hit a break in the cloud cover, the reflection grows smaller,
46:12giving the effect of coming closer to us and then moving away.
