00:51lies and spray tans that her history with Chig Vintzarv, 42, began long before they
00:57appeared together on television.
00:59I hesitate to smile right now because of the current news, the headlines that have been
01:04rolling out, which I'm in complete shock about," Burke, 40, said as she introduced the start
01:11of Thursday's podcast.
01:12Someone who we've grown up with, who actually, we used to live together in my family's home
01:18in the Bay Area.
01:20The Dance Moms alum then admitted felt kind of emotional thinking about the accusations
01:25Chig Vintzarv is now facing.
01:27He was arrested today, Thursday, was when we're recording this, and domestic violence
01:33has been thrown in the mix.
01:36Officials with the Napa County Sheriff's Office said Chig Vintzarv was arrested Thursday when
01:41deputies responded to a domestic violence call.
01:44A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office told the Associated Press that there were signs
01:50indicating abuse which led to Chig Vintzarv's arrest.
01:54Details regarding what those signs were and the identity of the alleged victim were not
01:59released by authorities.
02:01Chig Vintzarv was charged with felony domestic violence and was taken to Napa County Jail,
02:08where he was released later that day on $25,000 bail.
02:13Chig Vintzarv's wife, fellow Dancing with the Stars competitor Nikki Bella, has since
02:18spoken briefly about the private matter as she requested privacy for her and her family
02:24at this time in a statement obtained by Variety.
02:28Bella and Chig Vintzarv, who competed together on the show, have been married since August
02:332022 and share a four-year-old son.
02:37On her podcast, Burke said her heart goes out to everyone involved.
02:41It's just really hard for me because he's my family and I don't know what to say here
02:47other than I hope everybody's okay," she said, adding later that domestic violence is serious
02:53and reiterating that the news is kind of shocking, still, for me.
