00:00I had done a bonfire the night before and then I went the next morning to go
00:07check it to see if everything had burned. Like an idiot, I checked it and there
00:12was some debris left around the whole thing so I had some gas in the vehicle
00:17with me so I poured a little bit around the outside of it and then I even like
00:22still doing other things that are like to be safer and take the gas can up away
00:28from the fire make sure the vehicle was up away from the fire and then I'm
00:32walking around looking for a some kind of long stick to ignite it with and just
00:39my lack of patience got the better of me and I thought I'll be alright you know
00:44it's it's not that big anymore so I walked over and I bent down and where I
00:50could see some branches sticking out from the edge of the pile and lit it it
00:54just boom like all around my face I could feel the heat hit my face and then
01:00I pulled my hands up like this and kind of jump backwards away from it and when
01:06I stood up I just kind of took a fraction of a second to see like what
01:10does my body feel like and it was just immediately so hot and I looked at my
01:15arm and I could see the skin just peeling back like before my eyes
01:20probably not a great idea but I drove to the emergency place in town and as I'm
01:26driving I can see it just still peeling back and then they said I needed to go
01:31to Des Moines because they were like a more well more well-equipped for this
01:35kind of situation tell me you're not gonna perform on Sunday please yeah yeah
01:40for sure I'm performing you are performing yeah I'll be there how are
01:44you going to pull this off I've never missed one slipknot show and and
01:50possibly I think I'm actually the one with the most injuries but yeah I'll
01:55just I'll make it work it's got to be incredibly painful Sid yeah it's it's
02:01painful to move everything but I don't know I just got a way that I I can just
02:08focus and cut through and worry about the pain after the fact kind of thing
02:13are you gonna wear the mask I will I I have some stuff that I'm gonna be able
02:20to wear underneath so that I don't have to put like makeup on or anything will
02:26probably just gel me up real good so that nothing sticks to any of these burn
02:30wounds my that being said my face is started healing way faster than
02:37everything else they said it would but Kelly's been taking such good care of me
02:41she's like round the clock making sure I'm on my meds properly and and cleaning
02:48three or four times a day she actually has to scrape the dead skin off my body
02:53it's crazy
