00:00So if you live in Louisiana, you probably are betting on a parlay if you're a sports
00:07better because my gosh, these numbers are incredible.
00:10You can read, by the way, check out Jim over on social media at Jim Gazzale on X.
00:15I mean, is this accurate?
00:17Like more than half the people who were betting in Louisiana are just doing parlays or at
00:21least being part of parlay bets seems crazy to me.
00:25Yeah, the figures are rather large in terms of parlay betting in Louisiana, and it just
00:30seems another month, another another conversation about it with you, correct, because it continues
00:36to blow me away just how profitable these parlays are for the sports books, especially
00:43in Louisiana, 65 percent of total revenue in July in Louisiana came from parlays, twenty
00:52two and a half million dollars won collectively by the sports books across all sports in Louisiana.
01:00Nearly 15 million dollars of that was from parlays.
01:04So they're picking up right where they left off at the end of the last fiscal year, which
01:08ended in June, where through that whole prior 12 months, 70 percent of overall online sports
01:16betting revenue came came from parlays.
01:21And it makes sense for for both the player and the sports book.
01:27And what I mean by that is we've just seen how like we're talking about the live betting
01:31a few moments ago.
01:32Craig, we've seen how parlays have grown and become really the the one of the most popular
01:39betting options really across the entire landscape.
01:44The number of people betting parlays, the number of parlays being bet, the number of
01:48dollars being bet on parlays, these, you know, bet a little to win a lot is very enticing.
01:55So we've seen a lot of handle get pumped into these types of bets for the sports books.
02:01They've obviously recognized that and they've invested heavily in the parlay technology.
02:07They bill it as better pricing, better pricing on their end so they can drive more revenue
02:13from them.
02:14But the betters continue to to try their hand at these, you know, lottery style ticket wagers.
02:22And at least where we can see in certain states where they break figures, we can see in Louisiana
02:28it hasn't worked out all that well for the betters, but in turn has worked out quite
02:33well for the sports books.
02:36Like I mentioned, 65 percent of market wide revenue coming from parlay betting in Louisiana
02:42in July.
