00:00Bonjour y'all today. We're gonna make French onion deviled eggs. We're gonna start by taking our eggs apart
00:04Sometimes your fingers are your best tools because you don't want to rip the egg white
00:08You don't want Anne-Brenda calling you out for some tacky looking deviled eggs
00:12Nobody's got time for that
00:13If you want to make these extra pretty take a damp paper towel and kind of wipe around the edge
00:17So we've got our yolks start with some salt to mayonnaise mustard and mash all this together
00:22I was starting to go to the fork and I realized that it wasn't getting real smooth
00:25So I'm gonna use a whisk for a little bit nicer eating experience
00:28Make sure you get all of that goodness off your whisk because you worked hard for it
00:32This idea came from Alana. She was like when you do some caramelized onion deviled eggs, make sure you let them cool
00:37I don't think they're gonna be hot enough to cook the eggs
00:39But it could melt the filling and just make it a little messy fold in the caramelized onions
00:45I don't know how to fold in caramelized onions like this David now
00:49We're ready to put them into our eggs
00:50You can do it super easy and just use some spoons if you want to go super fancy
00:55You can get a piping bag do whatever you want. You might want to start a little small
00:59You can always add you don't want to get all the way around and have like one egg
01:02Who didn't get any filling one of the most exciting things about this recipe is the topping everybody's favorite crispy fried onions and Gruyere cheese
01:09These eggs where this little like beret of a crispy topping they feel nice and fancy and you really didn't have to anything except melt
