00:00In the face of repeated complaints, a man was arrested in Quezon City because of a rent-a-guy.

00:06The suspect even hit three cars while trying to escape.

00:10Emile Sumangin reports.

00:16Not only one, but three cars were hit by this motorist in Cubao, Quezon City.

00:21This tricycle even hit the side of a vehicle that was also hit by a passenger van.

00:29At that point, the driver was caught by the police chasing him because of a rent-a-guy.

00:35According to the PNP Highway Patrol Group, the driver was fined P3,000 per day but was not returned.

00:44It was rented on August 26 and the following day, August 27,

00:50the involved motor vehicle was posted on the Facebook Marketplace for sale worth P250,000.

00:59The undercover policeman, who claimed to be buying a car that was caught in an entrapment, was able to chat with the suspect.

01:06According to the HBG, there were cases in the past where the suspect was involved in carnapping but it was his defense.

01:12I was afraid, sir, because I was mostly afraid that it would explode, and if it didn't explode, what should I do?

01:20That's why I tried to escape, sir, but I was blamed for what I did.

01:39In violation of our anti-carnapping law and reckless imprudence resulting to multiple physical injuries,

01:49we have received complaints coming from Baguio City and then in Ilocanja region.

01:55The same victims were also fined for their cars rented by our suspect.
