01:15:40premier athletes have certainly had their issues but it was Ishii that defeated Tony Nese in a
01:15:45great bout let's make no mistakes about it but Ishii was victorious as the bell sound that's
01:15:51Mark Sterling kind of adding a little fluff to the to the cake there it's Mark Sterling math
01:15:56and would you say did so much to look forward to in 2025 already barely halfway through 2024

01:16:25I'll tell you what the conglomeration such a great set of athletes when you
01:16:28have about the world champion Mark Frisco you think about Orange Cassidy Kyle O'Reilly
01:16:32Willa Nightingale I love all of these different people all the same mindset
01:16:38and not like these oh goodness almost like factory lab built athletes like Daivari Josh
01:16:43Woods Tony Nese and the money and influence of Mark Sterling
01:16:56let that barn door open for Ishii to come rushing in with a big shoulder
01:17:00and it leaves Daivari staggering Daivari in the corner now Ishii
01:17:10oh goodness and he's chops man precision tune right into the chest you can see
01:17:16Stone Pit Bull taking his time approaching Aria of course Ishii no stranger yeah two menaces on
01:17:24the outside we all know what's going on with Stokely Hathaway
01:17:28and getting his nose in the Stone Pit Bull's business as of late
01:17:33as now Ari's trying to break the momentum here it's not going to change anything look at the
01:17:39dominance inside of the ring the way they have something in mind at least yeah but you're right
01:17:47I mean Ishii's one of the most composed the way he's standing in the middle of the ring he's like
01:17:52almost giving Ari a chance to get in the ring he's like okay come on in this is where I want to
01:17:56handle my business I'm not going outside where I'm outnumbered and we've seen this happen before
01:18:00when you talk about some of the great pitchers were just down the street from Globe Life Stadium
01:18:05the world champion Texas Rangers Major League Baseball and some of the great pitchers in MLB
01:18:10Caprice their heart rate's going to be a little bit higher than what we're used to but they're
01:18:14great pitchers in MLB Caprice their heart rates stay the same no matter what they have that poise
01:18:18and that's one of the things Ishii is so good at that cold-blooded athlete that's right controlling
01:18:25your heart rate is a big thing it's a gift if you can do it as an athlete comes with meditation
01:18:34and it's that vision quest and right now the quest is to defeat Daivari of the premier athletes
01:18:41just as he did against Tony Nese
01:18:52get Sterling oh no oh my goodness yes oh may have broken his hand yeah with Stone
01:19:01oh Stone never wins against metal Riccoboni I don't care who you are
01:19:08it's almost sparking the hand of Ishii so many small bones in your hands Riccoboni you can break
01:19:16there's almost 200 bones in your hand my goodness
01:19:22and we've seen we've seen athletes oh come on break their hands chopping yeah other athletes
01:19:27yet alone getting smashed into the steel steps or into the post Daivari and now take a bit of a
01:19:35victory lap I wouldn't do this you got to stay on because just like you said with that control
01:19:40breathing Ishii is catching his breath with that hand it takes a lot man wrist control hand
01:19:46controlling anytime you heard a hand of a wrestler man you're eliminating a lot of the offense
01:19:50because you have to grab your opponent to be able to put a move on them and Ishii in trouble here
01:19:56he's focused on that hand he couldn't even try and block that oh yeah into the turnbuckle and
01:20:01that arm ringer now oh and look at that are we right back to it this is smart man you feel about
01:20:09already the way you want to but being able to put something together and staying with it knowing
01:20:13that it's a weakness now and the wrestler's not going to show you that weakness unless it's really
01:20:16getting to him you can see right there in the face of somebody that doesn't have a lot of motions
01:20:20in a motion of pain right now absolutely the crowd rallying behind the former ring of honor
01:20:27world tv champ the member of the conglomeration but it is the premier athletes ari davari
01:20:34aria in full control here yeah working a great game game plan staying on the fingers now fingers
01:20:42and wrists oh right back to wow yeah oh trying to fire back oh ishii in a lot of trouble he can't
01:20:52even he's almost choosing oh he can't protect anything but that hand giving it up there yeah
01:21:01see every time ari was hitting uh stone he continued to rise he should continue to get up
01:21:08and ishii delivering the chops giving up the hand trying to fight through it it's such a big part of
01:21:14his offense oh there's a shoulder tackle on that low center of gravity driving the hips up through
01:21:22the shoulders through the chest of davari oh looking for that saito suplex oh block grabbing
01:21:28hold to it took a little more time from ishii and ari knew that that's why i'm saying it's great
01:21:33great game two count only see that suplex took a lot out of ari right there it took him a long
01:21:46time to kick out of it and he did not go right back to the offense oh wait a minute sterling
01:21:51here it's the attention getter and that split second was just enough for davari to get out of
01:21:56the way roll up to two count only that was a high stack rick abani ari's in this fight my goodness
01:22:04up the ladder with a clothesline get him
01:22:08touch the suit it's worth it it's worth the risk go for it oh tell you what sterling's doing his
01:22:14job rick abani i think that's why you hate him so much well every time sterling's got the attention
01:22:19of ishii
01:22:21block waist lock it's not going to work this time
01:22:33and backfired downstairs in the basement
01:22:40the winner of this match the stone pit bull tomohiro ishii
01:22:47sterling went to well too many times on that one and it led to a victory for the former
01:22:54ring of honor world television champion tomohiro ishii here in arlington and that one was just a
01:23:02little bit extra sweet for anybody that has been wronged in the past by smart mark sterling and
01:23:10that list is long to breathe yeah i think everybody in the crowd is still standing
01:23:14and it's because of mark sterling not standing well there he is and the victory

01:23:33it is the event that unites the professional wrestling world

01:24:05following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 60 minute time limit
01:24:09and it is for the ring of honor pure wrestling championship
01:24:19here are the rules each wrestler has three rope breaks to stop submission holds and pinfalls
01:24:24after a wrestler exhausts his rope breaks submission and pin attempts on or under the
01:24:29ropes by the opponent are considered legal no close fist punches to the face are permitted
01:24:37open-handed slaps or chops to the face are permitted punches to the rest of the body
01:24:41are allowed excluding low blows the first use of a closed fist to the face receives a warning
01:24:47the second use of a closed fist to the face results in a disqualification
01:24:55well thank you bobby cruz for our pure rules the pure title is on the line in our main event
01:25:00introducing first the challenger being accompanied by sarah pentacle
01:25:05wrestling out of johannesburg south africa he is representing spanish

01:25:18he certainly is and sometimes it is that flow state it is the idea there we see our judges
01:25:26former world champions jerry lynn and christopher daniels and the newest member of the board of
01:25:31directors paul white has held many world championships across his hall of fame career
01:25:36we have a big board and we certainly do as angelico likes to be in that flow state
01:25:46and here tonight the opportunity of a lifetime coming off a big win to earn this bout
01:25:52angelico looking to put that training from mexico south africa to the test
01:25:59be accompanied by shane taylor rustic out of pittsburgh pennsylvania weighing 191 pounds
01:26:07he is representing shane taylor promotions and he is the ring of honor pure wrestling champion
01:26:22moriarty making history at death before dishonor in this very building becoming
01:26:28the ring of honor pure champion but caprice will he be a one defense wonder here tonight
01:26:38facing a man who is so skilled in multi-disciplines as is moriarty
01:26:45that's a palpable question rick abani palpable question
01:26:51it's going to be a great matchup this is this is a matchup that i never knew i wanted to see
01:26:56until it was signed right as we take a look here
01:27:03yes there you see referee mike posey with the ring of honor
01:27:07pure championship that's what it's all about we heard the rules
01:27:14and now here tonight championship on the line interesting to note angelico trained by negro
01:27:22navarra in mexico at the toriman dojo the same school as okada abushi and rocky romero technique
01:27:29and submission whereas moriarty trained by skyda who's almost you know that's almost like
01:27:38apples and oranges in the lucha world they're two of the most accomplished trainers they are
01:27:42but they have such different styles that they're almost tailor-made to face each other
01:27:47great matchup but angelico was born with this flow state mentality learning in mexico the only
01:27:56place he's really learned wrestling but moriarty most of his wrestling was learned in the states
01:28:00and traveled to learn other genres of wrestling and so this is going to be a huge test for
01:28:06moriarty because of the background that angelico has because that background is what moriarty uses
01:28:12against other opponents look at this great wrist control here double wrist lock takeover
01:28:18over the head and a wrist lock here on helico not fluster though you don't see the urgency
01:28:24and that's okay yeah he thinks one or two moves ahead he has that calm breath calm breathing
01:28:29staying calm is a big deal recombining because if you if you start breathing hard you make your
01:28:33body think another win it starts to panic he's able to keep his body calm watch the heel break
01:28:38yep it's flowing and look at that nice cover there one count and helico's like water
01:28:49and moriarty also not flustered and that was one of the keys i think against wheeler yuta back at
01:28:54death before dishonor was moriarty he just remained calm he was always thinking he was
01:29:00countering counters as we see a duck down into the waist lock here but taking advantage of the
01:29:04period of vision is coming in to wrestle not to fight and uh when you have wheeler yuta in there
01:29:10it was very personal with wheeler yuta and moriarty there's nothing too personal about
01:29:14this it's a title defense but the styles are what we have to worry about with moriarty
01:29:21nice side headlock here of course it's two weeks ago moriarty successful improving ground action
01:29:26against action andretti but andretti had that high flying style you see on helico remaining with the
01:29:32technical style wow look at that whoa it's the stuff this division is made for
01:29:43and a great series of counters there i tell you what if moriarty tried that in a regular
01:29:48match you'd get punched in the face but you can't do that here yeah it takes great restraint and
01:29:53that's the cool look at this ducking down wow nice take over there
01:30:02and moriarty going back to the waist lock that's almost like his safety blanket that's almost his
01:30:06starting point yeah helico being cocky as well standing straight up allowing moriarty to come
01:30:11right into his personal space wow springing out of it and both these men i'm just looking at him
01:30:18in fantastic condition off the ropes both physically and cardiovascular you gotta be to
01:30:25do a little a little uh cha-cha there off the rope sweeps the leg now things are heating up
01:30:31cover there gets a one back to the feet sweep down and helico gets a one count there now both men
01:30:37another thing in helico has is that ability to dictate
01:30:40a pace in the match beating up and slowing down frustrates your opponent because you
01:30:45yeah i didn't want to interrupt shane taylor but beating up is slowing down at wheel
01:30:52misses with your cardio now one interesting thing a drop toe hold there
01:30:57on the outside it's been made very clear since the pure division has been relaunched as a nice
01:31:03stf style move moriarty trying to get to the ropes he does on helico gonna have to break
01:31:07we wait for bobby cruz that is rope break number one used by the name moriarty you see
01:31:13shane taylor almost like a corner man it's very impressive to have moriarty
01:31:19in the world first he's not on your level he's not on your level let's go get a pure check
01:31:25and some words of encouragement and that is legal now if caprice if shane or
01:31:32serpentico get involved physically the title changes hands and they are suspended indefinitely
01:31:39yeah not just being disqualified no yes and that has been a staple of the rules
01:31:46since the division was relaunched in september 2020 and look at this wrist lock here great
01:31:51exchange there and this is you know emblematic of on helico's training for brian dixon's all-star
01:31:58wrestling in england where he went in his second year learned a lot of what he does from ultimo
01:32:04dragon believe it or not as liam moriarty now going up the ladder with a cobra twist the 6-3
01:32:09frame of on helico and he's got that wrist caprice which is not only for leverage but i think out of
01:32:14necessity to hold on helico's frame in place exactly what it's for and helico's so flexible
01:32:19able to move out of stuff with that flow state mentality moriarty trying to lock him in watch
01:32:23the pin nice trap two we saw that earlier from minashirakawa too early to put it on though
01:32:34these flash pins are what the peer division really accentuates in because you can win a match at any
01:32:38time but it's very rare to see moriarty get at the first rope break you're absolutely right caprice
01:32:45moriarty does not like to go to the ropes he's a lot like josh woods in that regard another former
01:32:49pure champion that he chooses to try and force his opponents to the ropes and he will do everything
01:32:57he can not to use them he used the rope break rules to win the pure title yes yeah both men
01:33:03had exhausted the rope break so he used the ropes as a leverage you're absolutely right
01:33:08stepping over though speaking of leverage look at this high leverage from the 6-3 on helico
01:33:13this long frame and you look great oh my goodness kwaito on the bow and arrow stretch roll up two
01:33:25and going back to the wrist shoulder to shoulder
01:33:28and it's almost like there's comfort every time there's a lock-up moriarty almost like a magnet
01:33:33swinging a miss he wants that connection waist lock here drop down and caprice if this was going
01:33:41on points right now if you're the judges you gotta think on helico's ahead only because of
01:33:45the rope break otherwise this has been a pretty close match yeah i can't disagree with that uh
01:33:50watch this sweet man ducking both of them this shows that moriarty does his homework as well
01:33:55as well nice roll up two oh swinging around hold on look at this oh border city stretch
01:34:02that border city stretch is right in front of the ropes moriarty knows he might not get a submission
01:34:07but he's gonna let and helico go towards the ropes look at this
01:34:12oh and that little kiss kiss on the hand
01:34:26the way in helico is holding that shoulders as if uh moriarty knows something about in helico that uh
01:34:32and helico didn't know maybe he was spying around the nurse's room
01:34:36nothing for you he's shook right now oh you hear shane taylor and that's got to be caprice you've
01:34:41been on shane taylor's team you've been on the opposite side of the ring against shane taylor
01:34:47shane taylor just continuing to talk it is not something that you can drown out that's got to
01:34:53be weighing on the mind of in helico at this point also you're absolutely right shane taylor has a
01:34:57undeniable uh unique voice that you can hear in the room you know his voice
01:35:01nice inside ankle trip by moriarty holds on to the ropes look at this on helico trying the best he can
01:35:10makes a great great coach for shane taylor as well because out of this whole crowd of everybody
01:35:14talking moriarty's every here shane taylor's voice and that's the only person on helico can hear too
01:35:22and that's gotta be just rattling ping-ponging around in the mind of in helico who's trying to
01:35:26fight back who's trying to roll out goes down to one leg through the legs and that's the only
01:35:31look at that leg switch traps the leg pushes out has the ankle into the ankle lock knee bar ankle
01:35:37lock combo here from on helico and moriarty's got to get the rope we thought about it wow
01:35:46and it's rope break number two used by lee moriarty you have to know how impressive this
01:35:52is rick abani is very rare for moriarty to reach for these ropes he's won matches without rope
01:35:57breaks on that helico now the trash talk you hear taylor saying breathe both men now resetting
01:36:07in that that block position has the fake out picks the ankle again trying to step up trap holds on
01:36:13great wow right back to that shoulder and that all happened because moriarty stepped on that wrist
01:36:20and was able to hold on helico in place it is those micro movements that make moriarty so
01:36:25successful oh my goodness stretching here at the delts on the shoulder you gotta snap it back
01:36:29or just keep that bow and arrow type movement oh we saw this earlier from on helico
01:36:35and now we're seeing oh no from moriarty oh no oh into the bridge
01:36:44i'll tell you what rick abani imagine being at the gym and stretching you get to that point
01:36:47where you can't stretch anymore and then the chain is just pushing you down that's exactly
01:36:52number two used by angelico wow and we are at two rope breaks
01:37:00and that's a great comparison i think everybody knows that feeling caprice the wrist lock here
01:37:05and going back to the shoulder is the pure champion lee moriarty here's the reason why
01:37:11moriarty is the champion putting the game playing together so they can own a body part
01:37:15and now looking for the irish whip drop down to one knee reverse moriarty swinging around
01:37:25blocks the double axe and now it's moriarty back to the shoulder
01:37:32and listen to taylor encouraging moriarty off the ropes moriarty shoulder tackle
01:37:38sends on helico down lateral press two how important was that shoulder tackle
01:37:43ginomi see at the beginning of the match but moriarty using it
01:37:47to weaken the showdown and now it could lead him to the camera here caprice he has it
01:37:53cover lock locked in his right arm is locked in between his knees of moriarty and helico's gonna
01:37:59have to use those long legs to break them it'd be the last rope break though you have to think about
01:38:03think about it oh and he needs to get there he does
01:38:09that is the third man
01:38:13now think about this with cabani each submission has been broken up by somebody grabbing the ropes
01:38:20yes indeed next time someone grabs the ropes if it's in helico it doesn't matter
01:38:27now second off on the inside you're absolutely right moriarty can lock in anything if it's in
01:38:32the ropes he can use the ropes to his advantage wait a minute step in inside toe hold in a twist
01:38:41and look at that the ankle lock locked in moriarty nowhere to go
01:38:44moriarty riding he's gotta make a decision now that was moriarty grab that rope so fast yeah
01:38:52that is the third and final rope break for lee moriarty
01:38:57the longer that move is in the more damage it does is twisting the knee and the ankle at the
01:39:00same time so it messes with the mobility of moriarty moriarty had no choice but to grab
01:39:05the rope and his last one sudden death for cabani we are in the danger zone caprice you're absolutely
01:39:10right both men have exhausted both rope breaks here either man could be pinned or submitted in
01:39:17on between under the ropes and if this goes to the judge's decision remember and helico's the
01:39:24first one to exhaust the rope breaks of moriarty and he's been in control a lot on around nice
01:39:31twist out moriarty grabs the side headlock wrist lock here swinging out and on helico on helico
01:39:35now grabs the ankle ankle rolling through moriarty it's on helico now looking for the front face lock
01:39:39wrist lock countered by moriarty trap the arm wait a minute ducks down pin to the bridge gets it
01:39:45a great effort from on helico
01:40:03but moriarty holds on to the title that was established by our friend nigel mcginnis who
01:40:10returned this weekend by the new aew world champion bryan danielson by men like wheeler
01:40:17yuda daniel garcia capziorri shabbat moriarty hoping to add his name and accept that title's
01:40:23legacy moriarty is pure rick abani this is what the pure title is made for great wrestlers great
01:40:30submission great technicians great plans put together you have to shake hands after this
01:40:34great shorts by angelico as well both men where there was the training of gran guerrero
01:40:43skydot both men brought elements from worldwide training worldwide experience and moriarty
01:40:51showing some love to on helico there he said i got you this time could be different next time
01:40:56jane taylor very pleased with his man who wrestled the perfect match he needed to here tonight
01:41:02to fend off the challenge from on helicopter a lot of respect by moriarty realizing this title
01:41:06is not something that you could predict to hold on forever he knows every opportunity a person
01:41:11gets they're hunting for it and with the pure wrestling style it can be lost and fans we thank
