00:57:42And that's something I know for a fact.

00:57:44Jonathan Gresham studied and trained

00:57:46very early in his career, so this

00:57:48is going to be a very even match-up in a lot of ways.

00:57:52Considering the way that Charlie Dempsey made his presence

00:57:55felt in this company, I'm surprised that he's been

00:57:58welcomed back with open arms.

00:57:59But if you're a pro wrestling fan,

00:58:01you've seen how Charlie Dempsey has been literally

00:58:04all over the world competing, not just in WWE,

00:58:07but a variety of different promotions,

00:58:09a variety of different continents and countries.

00:58:11He wants to hone his craft and get better and better

00:58:13every time he steps in the ring.

00:58:16Well, if you step in the ring with someone like the Octopus,

00:58:20like Jonathan Gresham, you're going to learn a thing or three.

00:58:25Trying to press the shoulders down there for a moment.

00:58:27See how Gresham trying to adjust his positioning.

00:58:32Joint, shoulders down, careful.

00:58:34Going for the wrist, going for the elbow,

00:58:37trying to manipulate the joint.

00:59:23and then floating back through to tie up Dempsey now.

00:59:55You saw how Dempsey tried to go after the MCL there

00:59:57on the left knee of Jonathan Gresham,

01:00:02Trying to, and Gresham immediately dropped his weight.

01:00:05Thought he was going to bite his chin there.

01:00:07Might have been just even using his chin for control

01:00:09there for a moment.

01:00:12Again, you're going to see a lot of using different joints,

01:00:14different holds, different counters as well

01:00:16that you might see in a lot of your regular pro wrestling

01:00:20matches here.

01:00:20These guys are diamonds.

01:00:22Deep, deep into the textbook.

01:00:27Look at this, a bridge back cravat while in a leg lock.

01:00:33Curious to see how long that grip of Dempsey will last.

01:00:36Wasn't quite sure if he had perfect positioning there,

01:00:38but he continues to hang on.

01:00:39There is a nastiness, a grit about the way Dempsey competes.

01:00:44And you saw even he had two holds on him once,

01:00:46and one hold broke, but he still remains tightly

01:00:48locked in this cravat.

01:00:50Gresham trying to roll away, trying to counter here.

01:00:53But again, there you go, the bridge back into the throw.

01:00:55Shoulders down, shoulders down.

01:01:00The way Dempsey bridges back, and it

01:01:02allows him to control the hold a little bit more than his,

01:01:05as if he would do a regular arm drag or something of that.

01:01:08And you saw how Gresham, the headlock offered up

01:01:10and was able to slip free.

01:01:17Dempsey there trying to counter the hammer lock.

01:01:21But Gresham just bending right along with him,

01:01:25moving with the pressure to not allow it.

01:01:30Dempsey trying to get Gresham off of his feet,

01:01:32trying to control the octopus.

01:01:34Well, look at that, using the points of his feet,

01:01:37the back of the knee there, to try and block Dempsey.

01:01:40Didn't work out the second time around.

01:06:10the arms to get the win.

01:06:12But Dempsey, we're going to be a bit of a sore loser tonight.

01:06:16After this bout with the Octopus.

01:06:20By the moment we've all been waiting for is upon us.

01:06:23After the system put Jeff Hardy in the hospital

01:06:26over a month ago before Slammiversary,

01:06:28the charismatic enigma set to team with his brother Matt

01:06:32against Moose and JDC next.

01:06:37Earlier this week on NXT, Joe Hendrick

01:06:39competed against Wesley and Pete Dunne,

01:06:42trying to become the number one contender to Ethan Page

01:06:45in this NXT championship.

01:06:47Page tried multiple times to prevent Hendrick
