Malaysia’s healthcare tourism sector brought in RM2.25 billion revenue in 2023, with estimated spillover to other industries coming in at a record RM9.6 billion.
Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), an agency under the Ministry of Health (MOH), stated that the country already recorded 584,468 health tourist arrivals for the first half of 2024.
