00:03We're going to start with Bad Monkey,
00:04a new series on Apple TV Plus that we loved you in.
00:08The time is just past bathrobe time, so you're still good.
00:11When you first read the script, were you like WTF?
00:15Well, I just love working with Bill.
00:16I mean, I would do anything for Bill,
00:18and he asked me to do it.
00:19It's a different character than I normally get to play.
00:22I was really excited to play something different.
00:25I, that's one of the main things,
00:27the reasons I wanted to do it,
00:28was I was just so stoked that Bill wanted me to do it
00:33and wanted something different.
00:35And, you know, to be honest,
00:38I would have gone down there
00:39just to do one scene with Vince Vaughn.
00:41I'm such a massive fan of Vince's.
00:44So the idea of being able to do scenes with Vince
00:48is kind of like a bucket list item.
00:49I want a lot of immunity.
00:51Well, how about just a normal amount of immunity?
00:53No, it's gotta be a lot, a lot.
00:55Is Vince Vaughn really that tall?
00:57He's very tall, and just a really just big personality.
01:02I mean, he is that guy.
01:05Vince Vaughn never says the same thing twice.
01:10He sort of takes the script and then runs with it,
01:14and then Vince Vaughn-ifies it.
01:19I can't get involved in this.
01:20You're the one that got me involved.
01:21Oh, you want to stop being polite and start getting real?
01:23Is that the intro to the real world?
01:24In my defense, I thought you were too young to know that.
01:26It's such a really hard novel to crack,
01:29and I think that Bill played with it a bunch of ways
01:33and realized, you know what?
01:34For people to keep track of all that's going on,
01:38we really need the device because it's so complicated.
01:42But that's just a testament to his writing.
01:45Switching gears, I know Scrubs Reunion
01:47keeps swirling around, and believe me,
01:48we at People Mag are here for it.
01:51Do the Scrubs still fit, or are you gonna upgrade
01:53for your character in the reboot?
01:55You know, it'll be interesting if and when it happens
01:59to see what the character's like now.
02:01He's a grown-ass man.
02:03He's not a child anymore.
02:04And so I've always said to Bill
02:07that it'd be interesting to see him
02:09having lost some of that joie de vivre
02:13and wanting to find it back in his life in some way,
02:19and then reuniting with his friends
02:22in whatever the story is,
02:24is the way that he sort of brings some of his youth
02:26back into who he is now.
02:28To me, that would be an interesting story to tell.
02:31We love you and Donald Faison's friendship
02:33from T-Mobile commercials to Family Feud,
02:36and I'm sure barbecues in the family backyard.
02:39So tell me, what's the key to a happy bromance?
02:41We get annoyed with each other
02:42and we just let it slide off our backs.
02:45I mean, we're like a married couple.
02:47Sometimes I wanna kill him,
02:48but then I realize I can't quit him,
02:50and we love each other.
02:56I'm godfather to his kids.
02:58We're just very close,
03:00and I'm also close with his wife.
03:03We're just family.
03:04And I guess the key is the same thing to any relationship,
03:08is communicating and not letting trivial things
03:11get in the way.
03:13Ow!
03:14He's the one that needs to cry, you idiot, not me!

03:19So it's the 20th anniversary of Garden State,
03:21which blows my mind.
03:22Does it ever occur to you that you defined an era,
03:25a genre, and a scene
03:26that continues to have such an impact on people?
03:29I've been going down a tripped-out nostalgia lane
03:31with it, watching all these old videos.
03:33I found the behind-the-scenes video
03:35that was on the DVDs on YouTube,
03:37and I was watching that.
03:39It's crazy to see what babies we all were.
03:43I can't believe anyone let those babies make a movie,
03:45but thank God they did.
