00:00Hello everybody, it's me, the Queen Priyanka, and it's time for your mind massage, oh yeah.
00:21I just had severe trauma of missing an alarm, and I thought this was all a dream.
00:26I thought this was all a dream, and I was actually sleeping, and I woke up, and I was
00:30like, I'm late for Fuse.
00:31There goes my music career.
00:32Okay, Queen Priyanka.
00:33That's a famous person.
00:34I'm going to be taking you on a sound journey using some of my favorite things.
00:58Okay, this is my favorite brush in the whole wide world.
01:22I think I've owned it since 2017.
01:25I'm on a budget, honey, and it combs my ratty ass wigs.
01:30This is the best spray glitter in the world.
01:34Okay, listen, if you're not wearing glitter, what the hell is wrong with you?
01:38What are you, a Republican?
01:40Jesus.
01:41Oh, also, don't be alarmed.
01:42This is a very relaxing massage.
01:43You could spray this in your hair, and on your skin.
02:08Is that amazing?
02:14The way that you can hear the brush fighting the knots of drama that this wig has gone
02:25through.
02:26This wig is all the way from Canada, and then it came to LA, and then it got put in a box,
02:35and then pulled out of a bag this morning, and then I glued it to my forehead, and now
02:40I'm brushing it, and you're listening to this, and you're wondering, is that a man I'm looking
02:47at?
02:48And the answer is, yes, it's a man.
02:54I first started drag in 2017.
02:57I used to be scared of drag queens because they're a little bit unpredictable sometimes.
03:01You know what I mean?
03:04And now I'm obsessed with them, but I had a drag queen come perform at my birthday party.
03:11She's now my drag mother, Ecstasy Love.
03:14I love her.
03:15And we're actually best friends, too.
03:17We talk every single day on the phone.
03:18Wow.
03:19And she looked at me in the eyes and said, you're a kid's television host.
03:24I was like, okay.
03:26And she goes, you're singing, you're dancing.
03:29Would you ever try drag?
03:31And I was like, no.
03:34Ew.
03:35I don't want to do drag.
03:38Dressed up as a woman, I would never do it.
03:41And then all of a sudden, something came over me, and I was like, maybe I'll try.
03:45And then all of a sudden, I became that girl in Toronto.
03:50That's how it started.
03:53I love drag.
03:54It's so much fun.
03:55That's it.
03:57Then I started winning pageants and stuff.
04:00Pageant queen.
04:01And then that's when I knew that my life was going to change forever.
04:05Yeah.
04:08I started making music when I was competing for my first ever pageant in Toronto.
04:14And I was like, what will set me apart?
04:16And I always remembered that I wanted to be a pop star.
04:19Oh my god.
04:20Sorry.
04:21Sorry.
04:22And I wrote a song called Say My Name because everybody would mistake me for this other
04:27drag queen.
04:28Racist.
04:29So I wrote a song called Say My Name, and I performed it at the pageant, and I won.
04:35But then I thought that music was new to me.
04:38I was like, oh, I just did this one song.
04:41But then I looked back into my history and discovered that I used to be doing music when
04:47I was also on kids' television, too.
04:49I had a song called The Pineapple Song because Spongebob Squarepants.
04:56I've always been a musician.
04:58I just never wanted to own it before because I didn't see people like me being pop stars.
05:03But now I'm owning it.
05:05So prepare to be sick of me.
05:09Some of my biggest creative inspirations would have to be Santigold.
05:15I love her.
05:17Beyonce, of course.
05:19Whatever.
05:20Everyone says Beyonce, I know, but she's so iconic.
05:22I also love, I'm trying to think, creative.
05:28Creative.
05:30Billie Eilish.
05:32Her rollout plans.
05:34Her music.
05:36Iconic.
05:37Blackpink.
05:38Anything K-pop.
05:40Yo, their budgets.
05:44I used to go rob a bank to pay for that kind of shit, but I love them.
05:48I love the way they do things.
05:50Who else?
05:51Creative, creative.
05:52Also just the drag world in general.
05:55I always pull from how campy the drag world is.
05:59In my music videos, it's always high camp.
06:03High camp.
06:04Things that I would watch as a kid end up being things that I put as my creative in my music videos and stuff.
06:13The world is my creative influence.
06:17Get into it.
06:20It's true.
06:21I am the first ever winner of Canada's Drag Race.
06:26It felt crazy and amazing.
06:31It's funny, when we filmed Drag Race and I left Drag Race, I told everybody, I was like,
06:40oh, I'm not going to win.
06:41They're going to give it to the white girl.
06:43That's deep drama.
06:45And then when they crowned me, I was like, wait a minute.
06:51I'm a winner.
06:52I can win things.
06:55And it was wild.
06:56It was so crazy to me because it meant that I could have new dreams to make come true now on this platform.
07:05I can do whatever I want.
07:06It felt amazing and I finally felt free of any kind of barriers I had to keep myself within to try to be successful.
07:16I just won this amazing big show by just being myself, which is iconic.
07:23I could just be a dumb bitch and keep winning.
07:27Who would have thought?
07:32I love that sound.
07:34What?
07:40There's more on that side.
07:46Oh, soundproof.
07:51Oh.
07:53Interesting.
07:55Everybody.
07:59A keyboard.
08:12That's what it sounds like when I'm stalking my ex on Facebook.
08:15The reason why there's a keyboard here today is because what a lot of people find shocking about me is that I edit all my own music videos.
08:26I'm pausing for shock.
08:28I'm pausing for applause.
08:30I'm pausing for you to compliment me.
08:33I love editing so much.
08:36I'm a TV girl.
08:37I went to TV school.
08:38I was a production assistant intern.
08:42Then I was a production coordinator for so many years.
08:47And then I was like, I want to be a star and became a kids TV host.
08:51But all the skills that I learned before, I became an on-air person.
08:56I applied to my career now.
09:01Dear Queen Priyanka, you are an icon and I love you.
09:09Tell everyone that is watching Mind Massage to go stream your new song.
09:22Well, new music is upon us.
09:26I'm feeding the children as they say.
09:29And I have a couple of songs that are iconic.
09:33The first one I want to talk about, No New Friends.
09:36I should type it out.
09:39I have no clue what I just typed, but it was supposed to be No New Friends.
09:45Anyway, No New Friends, a song about claiming your independence and loving yourself.
09:50Because you don't need other people to reassure you.
09:53You can look at yourself in the motherfucking mirror and tell yourself you are beautiful.
09:58You don't need someone else to say it.
10:00That's what No New Friends is about.
10:02And I also have a song called Shut It Down.
10:05Gay pop anthem.
10:11The lyrics, light yourself on fire and I'll watch you burn in hell.
10:15Swimming in desire, drowning in the lies you tell.
10:18Dealing with the devil because you only love yourself.
10:21Karma ain't a liar, but you know I wish you well.
10:25This is the ultimate hater song.
10:27I know I didn't mean to write a hater song.
10:30I wanted to write a happy song.
10:31But when I walked into the studio, I was going through some shit.
10:34And then I walked out with this iconic, iconic hater song.
10:37But it's cool because it's like I can see that you're being a little bit of a demon.
10:42But I'm gonna shut it down and keep pushing.
10:44Because it's easy to let people's negative energy consume you.
10:49But protect yourself and shut it down.
10:54Let me type out shut it down.
10:56Shut it down.
11:02Okay, the next thing that I have.
11:09Dog kibble.
11:11Because I look like a dog.
11:12Just joking.
11:13Or am I?
11:14I don't know.
11:15Because I have two miniature, long-haired dachshunds named Daisy and Daffodil.
11:21I love them.
11:22I love dogs.
11:24I never used to love dogs.
11:25I was always so scared of them.
11:27But now I'm a mother.
11:30I am mother.
11:32I am mother.
11:33Wait.
11:34I'm dead.
11:38Real Daisy's beef.
11:39Real Daisy's beef.
12:10What the fuck is this?
12:13Okay.
12:14The reason why I brought dog food today is because I love dogs.
12:21Well, I used to be scared of dogs.
12:23Now I love dogs.
12:24I have two daughters, Daisy and Daffodil.
12:26And this is dedicated to both of you.
12:28I love you.
12:30Dogs are better than humans.
12:31And that's all I need to say about that right now.
12:35I never realized that.
12:36There's some gigs I have.
12:38I'll be on stage.
12:39Oh, my God.
12:40People always say,
12:41Priyanka, oh, my God.
12:42Your life is blowing up.
12:44You're getting famous.
12:45Like, you're too good for us now.
12:46You have to make you feel bad for success.
12:48I hate those people.
12:49But what I always say in return is like, no, no, no, no, no.
12:53First of all, I've always been the same girl.
12:55Because, one, I'm Guyanese.
12:58And my mom would beat my ass.
13:00And two, after a gig, wig is off, face full of makeup.
13:05I'm in a robe watching my dog shit.
13:08Just watching her.
13:09She's just looking at me, pooing.
13:11And I just performed for like 8,000 people.
13:14And I look down, and I have to go pick up her poo.
13:17So, fame has not changed me.
13:20It's humbled me.
13:24Hosting We Are Here is wild.
13:31I always said that I wanted to help people.
13:34I'm so sick of sharing Instagram posts, being like, help.
13:37The gangs need help.
13:38I want a tangible, real-life experience.
13:41And then We Are Here literally came knocking.
13:44So, be careful what you manifest.
13:45Because she come around the mountain, baby.
13:48So, hosting We Are Here is incredible and amazing.
13:51I didn't realize how hands-on we were going to be.
13:54I didn't realize how real it was going to be.
13:56I was expecting it to be kind of like set-up-y.
13:59Like, okay, go talk to this person.
14:01Ask them this.
14:02And then, like, you know, get this storyline.
14:05But, baby, they were like, I was like looking for direction.
14:07Like, what do I do?
14:08They're like, just experience it.
14:09And I was like, that's it.
14:12But what ends up happening is because small-town America is so homophobic,
14:16you uncover a lot of things.
14:18And I was not expecting to see it.
14:20I wasn't expecting to be as scared as I was.
14:22But I also wasn't expecting to feel as powerful as I did.
14:30So, it was great.
14:32Thanks for asking.
14:48Yo, this is the shit.
14:50This is the shit.
14:54This is the shit.
14:55This is my shit.
14:56This is my fucking jam.
14:57Okay, so in Canada.
14:58Okay.
14:59Okay, wait, wait, wait, wait.
15:00The first time I ever came to L.A., I was like, wow, my God, the city of dreams.
15:04But the one thing that I was so fascinated by was these fruit carts on the side of the road.
15:09And they just, like, chop up fruit and put tahini and chamoy sauce on it.
15:13And it's the best thing.
15:14We don't have that in Canada.
15:18Okay.
15:19So, you Americans are ungrateful.
15:22Ungrateful.
15:23You don't get this.
15:24You don't understand me.
15:25What goes first, the chamoy or the tahini?
15:30Oh, my God.
15:32Yeah.
15:34Reduced sodium.
15:40I want you to hear it.
15:41Oh, I didn't use my hands.
15:44Okay, I'll let you hear it come out.
15:50You like that?
15:51You like that, baby?
15:54Is that too much?
16:00My mouth is watering.
16:09Yeah.
16:11Okay.
16:12Enough of that.
16:20Okay.
16:21I wonder if you can hear this.
16:23There's no sound.
16:25There's not any sound coming out of this.
16:27There's not any sound coming out of this.
16:29I'm just gonna make the sound.
16:47Are you inspired?
16:50Your mind is being massaged.
16:53You must be so relaxed.
16:54You're welcome.
16:57Okay.
16:59I'm eating this.
17:01Because I'm hungry.
17:02Okay, what's crunchy?
17:03Watermelon?
17:07Do you hear that?
17:09Okay.
17:21I forgot I was Lip Sync Assassin on All Stars.
17:24It was so wild.
17:26It was my first time ever meeting RuPaul.
17:29Honestly, hearing RuPaul say,
17:32you're a winner, baby.
17:33That's when I knew.
17:35That's when I knew that I was going to be okay.
17:41It's wild.
17:43It's still kind of shocking actually
17:46to meet the queen RuPaul
17:48who paved the way for a lot of us.
17:51I'm honored.
17:52I'm honored.
17:53I love you, RuPaul.
17:55I want this grape.
17:58If I could perform a duet with any historical figure
18:02from the textbooks,
18:04it'd be Oprah.
18:06One time.
18:09This is so good.
18:10Okay, one time.
18:12I was at the GLAAD Awards.
18:14I looked over.
18:16Oprah was looking at me.
18:20I put my hand out to touch her.
18:23She touches me.
18:24We lock hands and she shakes my hand.
18:26You know, she does the Oprah thing like.
18:30Ever since then,
18:32rich.
18:33I've been rich.
18:34Famous.
18:35Opportunities.
18:36Fuse calls me.
18:38Mind Massage.
18:39I got the power now.
18:41You better watch out.
18:43There's Taheen running down my throat.
18:45I love it.
18:46Yeah.
18:47If I could star in a drag remake of any movie,
18:52it would be
18:54Ghost
18:56with Patrick Swayze
18:58and Demi Moore
19:00and Whoopi Goldberg.
19:02Molly, You in Danger Girl.
19:04I pick that one.
19:05Or White Chicks.
19:06Wait a minute.
19:07Wait a minute.
19:08That's funny.
19:09White Chicks.
19:11Whenever I tell people that White Chicks is my favorite movie of all time
19:15and that it's cinema
19:17everyone gets so mad at me.
19:19But honestly,
19:20it's one of the best movies ever so get over yourselves.
19:23If I could give one piece of advice to aspiring artists
19:30it would be
19:33if you want to be in this industry to become famous
19:36don't do it.
19:38If you want to be in this industry to entertain people
19:41to bring people joy
19:43do it.
19:44And also
19:45do not take no for an answer
19:47because if you're a true star
19:50you'll be surrounded by people
19:51who don't understand success.
19:54They don't understand that you can dream big and accomplish.
19:57Do not let those people tell you no
19:59because if you put hurdles in front of yourself
20:03they're hurdles.
20:05But if you don't put any
20:06guess what?
20:08You can win a Grammy.
20:10You can be a star of a movie.
20:12You can be on the cover of a magazine.
20:14I swear to God
20:15and I am God
20:16so I'm swearing to myself.
20:19My self love advice
20:22wow
20:23my self love advice is
20:26to be patient with yourself
20:28because
20:33life moves so fast
20:34and like because of like Instagram and TikTok
20:36and all these social media things
20:37we always feel like we have to be like posting
20:39and always on on on on on all the time.
20:41But it is okay
20:42to take time
20:43for your art and for your craft
20:45and to be patient
20:46as long as
20:48you want to
20:52put out great things for yourself.
20:54Does that make sense?
20:56Be patient with yourself.
20:57It's okay to know what you want
20:58and it's okay to say what you want
21:00and it's okay to have boundaries
21:02and if you have boundaries with people
21:05you love yourself.
21:07Period.
21:10Welcome to church.
21:12I am the pastor.
21:18Thank you so much for coming to my mind massage.

21:42Bye.
