Paranormal investigator Bob Baker calls in his colleagues and a Bishop for help when his mother's house is haunted by a demon. They fail to cleanse the home so Bob uses experiences from his past to rid the house of the demon.

01:40Dorothy Baker and her family are living in a house built for them by her uncle and father.
01:46You guys are my babies, you know that? I love you so much.
01:49Oh, come on.
01:52I'm not a baby anymore.
01:54Oh, I know you're not. I just love you so much, Bobby.
01:56Guys, help me with the laundry. Robin, will you grab the basket? Thanks.
02:00For Dorothy and her husband, Francis, owning a house is a dream come true.
02:05My mom and dad gifted me with the land.
02:07Then, after that, my parents built their house right next door, which made it very convenient and very nice.
02:14Oh, hi, Bobby.
02:17Bobby.
02:18Dorothy is a homemaker and Francis is an ex-marine.
02:22He makes a living working for an aircraft manufacturer in Stamford, Connecticut.

02:29Can we go over to Grandma and Grandpa's?
02:30With a house in the suburbs, two healthy children, and a loving husband, Dorothy has everything she's ever wanted.
02:37I was just thrilled to pieces to have my own home and have a yard and be able to plant flowers and have a place for the kids to play.
02:47That's what I was looking forward to.
02:50Bobby and his sister Robin are very close.
02:53Our family was very tight-knit early on in the early years.
02:56We were just like your typical family that you would find in any street U.S. site.
03:01Bobby.

03:04Bobby, I told you to wait up.
03:06Come on, Robin.
03:07Stop being such a girl.
03:10Bobby and Robin spend most of their days entertaining themselves, and this afternoon seems like any other.
03:23Hey, Robin.
03:25Who's that man over there?
03:28What are you talking about?
03:31The man next to the tree?
03:33I thought it was a real man at first.
03:36There's nobody there.
03:38But then I realized that I was the only one who saw him.
03:41Bobby can't explain it, but the image of the man terrifies him.
03:45He didn't threaten us or say anything to us, but I just knew that there was something bad about him.

03:57I thought you guys were headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

04:00Bobby chickened out.

04:06That was very frustrating because I was thinking that they should be able to see him, and I didn't understand why they couldn't.

04:16My thoughts were at first, he's just little.
04:18He's playing and just making belief.
04:21It was just a strange thing to me because it was out of character for him.
04:27Later that same afternoon.

04:51When I heard the voice coming from the vent, I was curious, but I was also afraid at the same time.
04:56Play with me.

05:00And I started talking back to it because at that age, you don't realize you shouldn't be talking to something, talking to you from a heater vent.

05:11Down here.
05:13I automatically assumed that that was coming from the basement.
05:16How did you get down there?
05:18I live here.
05:20You do?
05:22Wanna be my friend?
05:24Sure.
05:32Bobby, who are you just talking to?
05:35My friend.
05:36I felt uneasy about it, but I thought it was a kid thing.
05:40To Dorothy, her son's behavior is understandable.
05:44She believes her son has an overactive imagination.
05:48Okay, sweetie.
05:49Well, why don't you tell your friend that you'll be back in just a little bit.
05:52Grandma's on her way over.
05:54I thought he was just a little boy fooling around, playing games.
05:57I thought it was kind of cute.
06:00That day, Dorothy's mother arrives to give her a hand with the children.
06:04Honey, I'm here.
06:06My father worked all the time, so he was never home.
06:08My mother and my grandmother pretty much took care of us.
06:12Francis has recently taken another part-time job to support his family,
06:16leaving Dorothy with the extra responsibility at home.
06:20She's happy her mother lives nearby.
06:23My grandmother was like a second mom to us.
06:25She was there for us all the time.
06:27Did your grandfather ever tell you the story about this very house?
06:33Well, a very long time ago, before you were even born,
06:39your grandfather purchased this land.
06:43When it came time to build the house,
06:45he hired a few contractors to come dig up the property.
06:49One of the contractors noticed something unusual.
06:55What was it?
06:56Human bones.
07:02They decided that they were going to not call the authorities
07:06because it would just tie up construction of the property, the house.
07:10And they wouldn't be able to pour the foundation because it'd be an investigation.
07:15So they left the bones where they were, intact,
07:19and poured the foundation over top.
07:23Mom, that story's an old legend.
07:26You're going to give him nightmares.
07:28It's okay, Robin.
07:29Okay, no more scary stories from Grandma.
07:37All right, I've got one point, but now it's your turn, okay?
07:41Over the next several months, Bobby continues to interact with his imaginary friend.
07:46I got acclimated to hearing him talk and, you know, watching him play.
07:51And I didn't think too much of it.
07:53And they'll just keep on spinning for a really long time.
07:56And they just won't stop.

08:04Hello, Baker Residence?
08:08Hello?

08:22Bobby?
08:29Are you playing hide-and-seek?
08:34Bobby?

08:38Honey, what on earth are you doing down here?
08:41Hiding.
08:42What are you hiding from?
08:43My friend.
08:45Bobby no longer enjoys his friend's company.
08:48But why?
08:50Could there be a link between this friend and the man in the yard?
08:55I always had the feeling that whenever it was there, it was going to hurt me.
08:58I just always felt that it was trying to push me towards doing bad things.

09:48Young Bobby Baker is experiencing the first in what will be an endless series of terrifying nightmares.

10:08When she came down on top of me, it was so tight that it would cut off my breath.
10:12And I couldn't move at all.

10:26We tried to reassure him that it was only a bad dream.
10:30And all people have bad dreams now and then.
10:33But was this really just a dream?
10:37I couldn't really figure out what was going on with him.
10:40It bothered me because he was changing.
10:44Bobby.
10:50The following morning, Dorothy calls in a doctor.
10:54She suspects there may be a medical cause for Bobby's problems.
10:58So your mom tells me you're having trouble sleeping.
11:02Well, let's just check a few things here.
11:07This is going to be just a little bit cold.
11:09My parents were bringing me to the doctor because I didn't have any energy.
11:12I was constantly drained all the time. I wasn't sleeping properly.
11:15Always tired.
11:16Good. Okay.
11:20Well, his vital signs are just fine. And so are his reflexes.
11:24Well, see, the thing is, is he's been having nightmares.
11:28And to be honest, I'm just really concerned about this imaginary friend of his.
11:33He's not my friend.
11:36Now, Mrs. Baker, there's no need to worry.
11:39There's nothing psychologically wrong with that.
11:42Instead, he was fine. He was physically fine, mentally fine.
11:45Alert, everything that she was looking for.
11:48He simply has an overactive imagination. That's all.
11:51Okay. Thank you.
11:54I was not personally relieved with her diagnosis
11:58because I never felt that she realized the intensity of what was happening to him.
12:03Thank you so much.
12:05Although Dorothy is still concerned,
12:08she is hopeful that this phase will soon pass.
12:13But several weeks later, Bobby's behavior becomes even more disturbing.

12:20Make sure the tops are on real tight, okay, love?
12:25You know, Bobby, it looks like I'm going to need a few more of these jars to finish up this jam.
12:29Can you please head down to the cellar and grab a few and bring them up?
12:35Bobby, I am not going to ask you again.
12:38For weeks, Bobby has been terrified of the cellar.
12:43Mom, I really don't like it down there.
12:47Dorothy's patience is wearing thin.
12:50Bobby, this has got to stop.
12:52You're too old for this nonsense, and there's nothing down there.
12:55Go on.
13:01I opened up the door to the basement and looked down the stairs.
13:04I could sense this being near me even when I couldn't see it.
13:09Bobby.
13:34I recognized the voice right away.
13:36I knew that it was the thing that was talking to me through the heater vent.
13:39Bobby decides it's time to stand up to his friend.
13:44I'm not afraid of you anymore.
13:46The day finally came when I finally got sick and tired of this thing being in my life.
13:50I don't want you in my life any longer.
13:53I always felt that it could easily do the same thing to my family that it was doing to me.
13:57Get out.

14:01After finally standing up to it, I felt fantastic.
14:05Bobby, sweetheart?
14:06What happened, honey?
14:07I heard glass breaking.
14:08Are you okay?
14:09Yes, mom.
14:10I'm fine.

14:14You sure you're okay?
14:15Yes, mom.
14:16He's gone.
14:17We're fine.
14:18This is the last time Bobby ever sees or hears from his friend in the basement.

14:26It's exactly like being bullied.
14:27Finally, you have your day where you stand up to the bully and the bully backs down.
14:31I basically took the house back.
14:34From this point forward, Bobby lives a normal childhood.

14:42Show me what they've been teaching out there at Little League.
14:43I started playing Little League.
14:44I started getting involved in sports, doing better in school.
14:47Everything improved in my life.
14:49It was a total turnaround.
14:51It was a joy to see him back to himself.
14:55The point came where I put all this behind me, and I just let it go.
14:58I basically just blocked it all out, went on with my life, and that was it.

15:15For the next 40 years, Bob never fully understands what happened to him all those years ago.
15:23He has gone on with his life to become a child safety specialist.
15:28You want to screw in any furniture more than 30 inches tall with wall restraints.
15:33I believe that all stems from my childhood.
15:35Everything I do in life is regarding the safety of children.
15:45Connecticut Paranormal Investigators, this is Bob.

15:48While Bob works as a child safety specialist by day, by night he investigates the paranormal.
15:56As I became older, I got involved more in the paranormal and started to realize that maybe what I experienced as a child really was true.
16:03And when did this start?
16:04Six years ago, Bob formed Connecticut Paranormal Investigators.
16:10I initially got involved in paranormal investigation mainly because of what happened to me.
16:14I wanted to help people.
16:16I knew I could help children out that were experiencing the same thing.

16:22As an adult, Bob continues to visit his parents regularly.
16:27His mother and father still live in the same house in which he grew up.
16:32The same house where his nightmares began.
16:36Lately, he's been helping Dorothy take care of his father.
16:43Hi, Dad. How are you doing today?
16:47For nearly ten years, Francis has been suffering from Parkinson's disease and dementia.
16:53There we go.
16:54Initially, when a person suffers from dementia, you'll notice a stare.
16:58Let's get you downstairs.
16:59Francis' condition has recently taken a turn for the worse.
17:05My father was a staff sergeant in the Marines, so he was always that tough guy.
17:09And so he started to decline, and that was tough to watch.
17:12It was a slow decline.
17:17Dad?
17:19What's wrong? What is it?
17:21Are these figures purely an illusion?
17:24What is it?
17:25Or is the family home still really haunted?
17:28The truth will be revealed, and it's nothing anyone would have expected.
17:37Bob's ailing father complains about figures no one else can see.
17:43A sight so terrifying, it shakes him to the core.
17:47No. No.
17:49What is it?
17:50He would tell us that the person was sitting there and tell us not to sit down.
17:53So that was quite disturbing.
17:56Okay. Okay, Dad. It's all right.
17:58We'll sit over here, then.
18:00He was absolutely terrified of what he was seeing.
18:03You could see the fright in his face.
18:08He's terrified of everything lately.
18:11He won't even go near the cellar.
18:14Bob attributes his father's visions to his advanced condition.
18:18We discussed this with his doctor, and he said this happens a lot in patients that have dementia,
18:23where they'll start seeing things that aren't there.
18:28Inevitably, the disease takes its toll, and Francis passes away.

18:38After nearly a half a century of marriage, Dorothy lives alone for the first time.

18:59At first, I started hearing a discussion going on on the radio or on the TV,
19:04but it was at such a distance that you could barely make out that there was some kind of voice there.
19:11Dorothy wonders if her husband is trying to contact her from the afterlife.
19:16I miss you, Francis.
19:18My husband told me when he was sick that he would never leave.
19:22I always felt like the stuff I was experiencing in the house was attributable to my husband's spirit.
19:31But Dorothy's mind is about to change.

19:46I felt the strength from it, and the strength was very frightening.
20:03I could feel the pressure in the mattress from someone actually sitting on the foot of the bed.
20:09And every time I looked, there was no one there.
20:12Dorothy soon realizes that the spiritual presence in her house is not her husband.
20:18It's something else, and it feels evil.
20:23The next morning, Dorothy calls her son Bob in tears.
20:27She is terrified of something in the house, and asks him to come over and investigate.
20:33Oh, Bobby, Bobby, it's been hell around here. Something's happening.
20:37Bob had the ability to walk into a house and be able to tell whether there was a presence there.
20:42To put his mother's fears at ease, Bob agrees to investigate.
20:46I'll come visit more, and Robin will too.
20:49I basically did it to appease her. I was hoping that it would calm her down.
20:52She was probably a little bit scared to be living alone.
20:54Bobby, Bobby, you don't understand. Something was here last night. I felt it. It pushed me.
21:02Okay, Mom, just calm down. I'm here to help.
21:07Bob attempts to collect evidence of the paranormal using a digital audio recorder.
21:14Is there anything here? Is there anything in this room with me?
21:20Can you make your presence known?
21:22Initially, when I was in the house, I didn't feel anything going on. It just felt benign.
21:26Tell me something.
21:30Is there anyone here?
21:33Can you make your presence known to me?
21:36I actually heard footsteps come across the floor towards me.
21:41I could feel it in my chest. I could feel it in my face.
21:44I felt weak in the legs. I actually felt nauseous.
21:48And I felt something, a presence in front of me.
21:51And at that very moment, I reverted back to my childhood.
21:55Bobby, wanna be my friend?
22:00Sure.
22:01I felt all the terror that I felt when I was a child. Everything came right back to me.
22:10From his experience, Bob believes his mother is dealing with a dark entity.
22:16I think we should have this house blessed. Just to be on the safe side.
22:20I didn't want to relay my fears to my mother because she would probably be very afraid.
22:25And I didn't want to do that to her.
22:27And I'm gonna bring in my team, too. Just, you know, as a follow-up.
22:31I had the impression that Bob was keeping some of the stuff away from me.

22:44Shortly after, Bob arrives with a team of investigators.
22:48Here I am, after, you know, all these years, back in the same place where I had problems,
22:54and setting up for an investigation. It's just strange to me.
22:58Bob has worked with his colleague, Joe Myers, for many years.
23:02He's also asked Mary Curian to assist in the investigation.
23:06Like Bob, her childhood was plagued by the paranormal.
23:11I grew up in a haunted house myself.
23:13I was just terrified as a child. I didn't understand it.
23:16Nobody would really believe me.
23:18So that kind of gave me that basis to try to help people because you're not going crazy.
23:23Mary is a sensitive who possesses the ability to communicate with spirits.
23:28I'll go in and feel, and I can most likely tell you it's negative, it's not negative,
23:34there's nothing there, there's something there, run.
23:37Whatever it may be, I'm kind of like the radar.
23:40And they send me in first.
23:44I don't want to know anything about the case.
23:46I just don't want to be influenced by anyone's statements or anything, so I go in blind.
23:53We came out with everything that we had.
23:55We set up in the house trying to figure out where this thing was
23:58and what we needed to do to get rid of it.
24:06Within minutes of entering the house, Mary picks up on the spiritual activity.
24:12Bob, I'm sensing a man and a woman.
24:16Where?
24:17Here.
24:18I sensed a lot of spirits in the house.
24:20There was a man and woman in particular.
24:23Bob wonders if this is the man and woman that his father identified before he passed.
24:29Unfortunately, I missed that opportunity to help my father out
24:32when he was seeing these entities in the house.
24:34I wasn't there for him, and I really feel bad about that.
24:37Could these spirits be the bodies buried under the house?
24:42It kind of hurt knowing that all this was right in front of my nose all the time
24:46and I was choosing to ignore it instead of dealing with it.

24:55When I went into Bob's old bedroom, there was like this heaviness in the air.
24:59It was hard to breathe.
25:03Mary immediately picks up on an evil presence.
25:14Oh!
25:16What's wrong?
25:17The strongest feeling I got is this one dark entity was kind of keeping in there.
25:23They were kind of being held captive.
25:26We need to investigate the cellar.
25:34Bob leads Mary down into the cellar, hoping to battle the dark entity once more.
25:41The further I went down into it, you could feel the oppression.
25:44It was growing thicker and thicker.
25:46It feels really heavy down here.
25:53It feels as though something really bad happened.
26:01Without any prior knowledge of the house's history,
26:04Mary senses a tragedy that occurred on the property.
26:08I feel as though the spirits are not really attached to the house but the land.
26:13I really feel something tragic happened on the land
26:18that kind of drew this negative energy kind of in.
26:28I had a vision of a body being carried and dumped on the property there.
26:44Why were these bodies buried under the house?
26:48They may never know the answer.
26:52But when the dark entity appears before her,
26:55Mary knows this is just the beginning.
27:03After Mary receives a sign from the dark entity,
27:06she realizes that they're dealing with a force of evil.
27:10It absolutely wants to get your attention by the physical manifestations it's doing.
27:19Bob, there's a negative entity in here with us.
27:23The thing that stood out the most was the blackness of it and the hood
27:27and the feelings associated with it.
27:30You saw it? Where?
27:33It was right over there. It was standing in the corner.
27:36Bob can finally confirm what he suspected as a child.
27:42That's what I used to see.
27:44This is the exact description of the entity he saw in the basement many years ago.
27:49I'd never described to Mary before what this being looked like,
27:52so to have somebody finally, after all these years, see exactly what I saw as a child
27:57was such a relief to me.
28:01The team steps in to investigate.
28:05The team sticks it out through the night,
28:07hoping to capture video evidence of what is haunting Dorothy.
28:14While Dorothy sleeps, the team analyzes the photos Bob took during the investigation.
28:20Dining room. Here's my room.
28:23Anything there?
28:25No.
28:26You sure?
28:35Wait, wait, wait. Go back, go back.
28:37What?
28:38What's that?
28:40Joe identifies an orb, which is often considered evidence of spiritual manifestation.
28:46Most of the time, orbs are nothing more than water vapor or dust,
28:50so it's something you have to be very careful with.
28:53But when he looks closer, he sees something else.
28:57A face is revealed on one of the orbs captured in a photo.
29:01This face was the same demon that I saw in the house as a child.
29:05I didn't even know what to think at that point.
29:07Just knowing now that I have proof in a picture was such a relief to me.
29:11But certainly not a relief to his mother.
29:16The team goes to the basement to investigate.
29:20I woke up to being pushed on my bed,
29:24as though someone had put their hands on my back.
29:28I was out in the cold.
29:30It was scary.
29:34It had been a very intense experience.
29:37I was pulled up on the bed and pushed against the wall.
29:41I didn't know if I was in pain or just hallucinating.
29:44I was completely cluttered with dust.
29:47their hands on my back, I was absolutely terrified.

29:57Bob is now certain that the demon haunting Dorothy
30:01is the same one that tormented him as a child.
30:04I realized I'm living in this house with something
30:07that could hurt me.
30:08I didn't want to be there anymore.
30:10I just wanted out.
30:12I was absolutely concerned for my mother's safety.
30:14I was at the point where I just felt something was going
30:16to happen at any second that was bad.
30:17So I decided to move her out of the house,
30:19and she moved in with me.
30:20OK, I'll leave you to it, Bobby.

30:29Bob and the team believe solving the demonic problem
30:32is beyond their capability as investigators.
30:36They decide to bring in Bishop Robert McKenna.
30:39Bishop McKenna is a priest and a world-renowned exorcist.
30:42And knowing that we had him on our team
30:44was a great benefit to us.
30:46And we knew we had a fighting chance with him being there.
30:49I'd like to start the blessing here in the living room.
30:52When the bishop arrives, he goes right to work.
30:54He doesn't waste any time.
30:55Bishop McKenna begins with the exorcism prayer
30:59and blesses each room in the house.
31:02When Bishop McKenna entered, I felt a lot more spirit activity
31:06going on in the house.
31:07You could tell there was an agitation.
31:09A blessed Michael, the archangel,
31:12of the blessed apostles, Peter and Paul, and all the saints,
31:17and powerful, and the holy authority of our ministry,
31:20we confidently undertake to repulse the attacks
31:26and deceits of the devil.
31:28Bishop McKenna is drawn to the cellar.
31:32Maybe he has his own sixth sense about it.
31:34He could feel out where it was.
31:36We need to go down there.
31:37Suddenly, Mary receives a spiritual warning.
31:41The snare.
31:42No, Bishop, wait!
31:44The voice I heard was definitely a mocking warning,
31:47and I felt it was from that dark, tall figure.
31:59What's behind this door?

32:16After the demon attacks the bishop,
32:19the team realizes this entity is out to kill him.
32:24The demon's capable of pushing a bishop down the stairs
32:27as fast as he can, and he's going to do it.
32:29He's going to kill him.
32:30He's going to kill him.
32:31He's going to kill him.
32:32He's going to kill him.
32:33I have no doubts that pushing a bishop down the stairs
32:34is capable of doing anything.
32:38The demon's here.
32:39I can feel him.
32:40He was the big gun.
32:41He was our ace in the hole, and now he was just subdued.
32:47God, the Father, commands you.
32:50God, the Son commands you.
32:52God, the Holy Ghost commands you.
32:55Christ, God's word made.
32:58The more noise that you hear, the more
33:00you know you're disturbing it, and that's
33:02You're looking to get under its skin as much as possible
33:04because you're looking to rid it from the house.
33:07We were determined not to stop no matter what this thing did.
33:09It was trying to do things to scare us,
33:11but it wasn't working.
33:12Everybody stood their ground.
33:13Let us pray together.
33:16But then, the demon suddenly makes Mary its next victim.
33:20Should we stop?
33:21No.
33:22We need to see it through to the end.
33:25We resolved to stay and finish because now,
33:28if you had angered it, it was going to be worse.
33:31Worse for Dorothy, worse for Bob,
33:33worse for anyone that went into that house.
33:35So it had to be taken to the very limit.
33:39We couldn't give up.
33:41As the bishop continues in the labyrinth,
33:43the demon grows angry.
33:45It refuses to leave without a fight.
33:49I felt the strength of that dark entity.
33:51I didn't feel it weakening.
33:53I felt myself weakening.
33:55And all that I could think of is,
33:58I don't think this is going to work.
34:00I really don't think this is going to work.

34:46The nightmare that haunted Bob as a child returns.

34:54I knew we probably weren't successful.

35:04worked tirelessly to fight the demon.
35:07We decided to try a number of different types
35:09of blessings in the home.
35:11We tried everything that you can imagine,
35:13and nothing seemed to work.
35:18Bishop McKenna realizes that prayer alone has failed.
35:22And he returns for a second assault against the demon,
35:26using holy water.
35:30Holy incense.
35:32The bishop hopes to purify the house by filling
35:35every inch of it with smoke.
35:37Holy incense is used with the belief
35:39that it will affect the demon.
35:40It will force it out of wherever it is.
35:42Persistence was our objective in trying
35:46to get rid of this thing.
35:47I think anything that we could have put our hands on,
35:49we would have done at that point.

36:30A week later, the smoke completely clears.
36:34Bob and Joe return to the house to hopefully close the case.

36:43They compare notes before they investigate.
36:55We had been in there for quite some time
36:56talking and discussing things, and we actually heard
36:58footsteps in the living room, the floor cracking again.

37:24For Bob and Joe, it becomes quickly obvious
37:28that their investigation is not ready to be closed.
37:43The spiritual attack robs both men of their ability
37:46to breathe and delivers heart attack-like chest pains.
37:51It felt like an elephant sitting on your chest.
37:53You could not breathe at all.
37:59Come on.
38:05We ran for our lives.
38:06It was that bad.
38:12For Bob, the near-death experience
38:15is enough to call it quits.

38:20We can't do this anymore.
38:23That thing is stronger than us.
38:29I think you're right.
38:31I'm a fighter.
38:33I want to keep going back at it and keep doing what I do.
38:35But I finally realized it's just too strong.
38:38This thing is so strong that it could
38:40probably actually kill us.
38:46Bob knows that he can no longer fight this demon.
38:51He vows to never return to the house again.
38:54I'm very proud of him because he took on a big fight.

39:04And I think within himself, he continues to fight.

39:18And sometimes you just have to walk away.

39:25The hardest part of this experience for me
39:27was having to walk away from my mother's house
39:29knowing that I hadn't helped her and knowing
39:32that I had to give in.
39:33And I feel defeated by that.
39:37Neither Bob nor Dorothy has ever set foot in the house again.
39:43No one has.
39:45When you investigate your own home,
39:47it's very difficult to remain objective.
39:49You can't have an open mind because you're
39:51so close to the action.
39:52You're actually being affected by what's going on.
39:54So you can't make proper determination
39:57as far as what should be done and what's
40:00the right thing to do.
40:03I should have stepped back, let somebody totally handle it.
40:06Because you become emotionally attached to everything.
40:09And it's hard to make the right decisions
40:12when you're doing that.
40:13You're going to make mistakes.
40:18Today, the house remains empty, still in the same condition
40:23as it was left.
40:26To me, it's heartbreaking because my grandfather
40:29owned this land.
40:30He allowed my parents to build a home on it.
40:33We grew up on this property.
40:36My mother still wants to live there somehow.
40:39But I know there's no going back.
40:43What I would say to a skeptic is go into that house.
40:48You never know what could present itself.
40:51But more so, I would say to the skeptic,
40:53look at this woman.
40:54She's leaving her whole life behind.
40:59All her memories, her marriage, her children, their childhood.
41:03This house was built for them.
41:06And leave its contents there.
41:08Something had to terrify her enough to get her to leave.
41:12Unfounded fear?
41:14I don't think so.
