A distraught mother is desperately searching for her daughter, who has mysteriously disappeared.
During a press conference organised by the Federal Territory MCA Youth Public Services and Complaints (PSC) response team on Thursday (Aug 29), 66-year-old Tan Hong Hwa shared that she reported her daughter, Lam Zhi Yun, 39, missing at the Putrajaya Precinct 11 police station on Aug 2, after a visit to her daughter's condominium yielded no clues to her whereabouts.

01:12Inside, she found the condo in disarray, with her daughter's identification documents, including her passport, missing.
01:20Management informed Tan that Lam's car and condo access card were last used in January 2023.
01:27However, Tan discovered a grocery receipt dated July 26, and CCTV footage confirmed that her daughter had been at the store that day.
01:36Because after missing contact for so many months, and when Madam first go into the unit,
01:41so she saw some fresh eggs and the receipt of NSK, so she thought maybe someone unknown staying at the house.
01:47So she went to NSK, and luckily the staff in NSK were very helpful also,
01:52checked the CCTV and found out that it's Madam Tan's daughter who bought the fresh eggs.
02:00And then Madam Tan did stay in the empty unit for a few days, and also waiting in front of NSK for a few days.
02:07Also never saw her daughter.
02:09Lam, a 39-year-old single woman, lived alone in Srikembangan.
02:14While she previously worked at a bank, as evidenced by an appreciation certificate found in her home,
02:19her current employment status is unknown.
02:22Tan also checked with the Immigration Department, which confirmed that there is no record of Lam leaving the country.
02:29PSC response team leader Lim Teng Loon stated that there are no signs of financial trouble linked to Lam's disappearance,
02:36as Tan reported no contact from loan sharks.
02:45We will contact them and look for this woman.
02:49We will go to the hospital and police station to search for this girl.
02:56Tan filed a second police report on August 27 to update authorities on the situation.
03:03The case is still in its early stages of investigation,
03:06and the family, along with the authorities,
03:09is appealing to the public for any information that might help locate Lam.
