An ostrich on the loose briefly halted traffic after it refused to move and stood firmly in the middle of a dual carriageway.
Video filmed by a motorist on Tuesday (Aug 27) shows the ostrich standing in the way of traffic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA.
According to local media, the ostrich was part of a larger group being transported through town that got loose.
After a couple minor detours, a group of people were able to herd the ostrich off of the road to safety using a bag of food
No people or birds were reported injured as a result of the unscheduled excursion.
