While Marvel Studios has not provided any concrete updates on Shang-Chi 2, it’s evident that something is happening behind the scenes for Simu Liu to confidently state that the sequel is still in the works. If this is indeed the case, there are two possible ways to fit Shang-Chi 2 into The Multiverse Saga. Currently, Marvel Studios has four upcoming release dates reserved for untitled projects over the next few years.
If production on Shang-Chi 2 kicks off in early 2025, it could potentially hit theaters on February 13, 2026, assuming that post-production doesn't face significant delays. Alternatively, if principal photography begins in Q3 or Q4 of 2025, the movie could be slated for release on November 6, 2026. Both these potential release dates are dependent on having a completed script for Shang-Chi 2, which remains uncertain at this time.
