00:00We have the 2024 Natalia Fern Top Stylist with the theme being Flourish this year.
00:08We would have 40 TASTA students in there today competing in the competition.
00:13We have the main competition and then we have three other competitions as well,
00:18which is a barbering competition, a St Pat's student competition and an open section, all with the same theme.
00:25They have two and a half hours to create a design using a blow dryer and also hot rollers,
00:33crane rollers and just using their skills with their brushes.
00:37So the students are doing big bouncy blow dries, you might have heard of the Texas blow dry,
00:43so it's all in trend and the barbers are doing their on-trend designs too.
00:50It is so good for the students because with pressure in the salon during weddings,
00:56they're coming up for the wedding season, they're coming up with some balls
01:00and that's also great for them to use their skills and knowledge.
