00:05Tell us a little bit about the East Lake Golf Club there looks like a par 70 about 7300 yards.
00:10How does this set up and also who might it benefit this golf course here during this tournament this week?
00:16Well, Donnie, here's the thing. It was a par 70.
00:19But since last year's tournament, they brought in architect Andrew Green.
00:23He redid Oak Hill for the PGA famous name up and comer in the architecture business.
00:28And they spent all year and it's been a tight timeline.
00:32But they have redesigned the golf course.
00:34They have renovated back to those Donald Ross days.
00:37Forgotten are the muted moguls of Reese Jones that he when he came in and he kind of turned this place into just a Bermuda Gardens.
00:45It's back. It's authentic. And it's back to that Donald design that everybody is going to love.
00:51He's opened up a lot of the view view lines.
00:54He has given these guys the opportunity to now play a classic design with a little bit of a modern twist.
01:00We're going to add one par. It's going to be par 71.
01:03The 14th hole is going to go from a four to a five and we're going to add 144 yards.
01:08But here's the kicker. And this is why, you know, Green knows what he's doing.
01:11He lengthened 14 holes, but he shortened three of them.
01:15And keep an eye on that eighth hole.
01:17It is along the East Lake and is a drivable par for now, which is going to be really, really entertaining.
01:24You.
