दिल्ली के लक्ष्मी नगर से बीजेपी विधायक अभय वर्मा ने कहा कि मुझे नहीं लगता कि गृह मंत्री जी ने ऐसा कुछ कहा था और जो भी कहा था उससे मैं कोई अर्थ नहीं रखता क्योंकि ये लोग (आप पार्टी) झूठ बोलते हैं। सरकार ने 1,40,000 कैमरे लगवाने का वादा किया था लक्ष्मी नगर विधानसभा का सर्वे पूरा हुआ, 12 विधान सभाओं का सर्वे जमा हुआ। सरकार को 12 विधान सभाओं में कैमरे लगाने थे उन्होंने 11 विधानसभाओं में कैमरा लगवाना शुरू कर दिया लेकिन मेरे विधानसभा को रोक लिया। मेरी कहीं कोई सुनवाई नही हुई।
