"We were on holiday in Turkey when the fire broke out, and we decided it was a good time to leave our hotel room as it seemed the fire was getting way too close," the filmer, Scott, told WooGlobe.
The panic in Scott's voice is evident as he watches the massive plume of smoke slowly envelop the hotel.
"We had to stay on the beach for a few hours until they got the situation under control," he added.
