'Gripping Footage Shows Heroic Firefighters' Efforts to Put Out the Caldor Fire '

'This dramatic footage gives viewers an insight into what it's like to fight a rapidly spreading forest fire.

Filmed by Christian Haugen, this video shows firefighters trying to get the Caldor Fire under control. By the end of August 2021, the said wildfire had already burned over 700sq km, damaging countless buildings and prompting several evacuations in the process.

Christian wrote: "The Caldor Fire in Placerville, California was a destructive force of nature that threatened many lives and structures in the El Dorado forest region. As the fire raged through the lands, firefighters made a great difference in saving people’s homes and lives while risking their own."

From on-ground support to aerial aid, the firefighters pull out all the stops to preserve the land.
