00:00Hello everyone. Today I am doing the Al Sol Dolce. I can't pronounce it. My name is Paul
00:09Branson Reviews and much more. And sometimes I just can't pronounce things right. Fine
00:16Italy Puffy Pastries as you see there. And it looks like it was $2 at Dollarama. I've
00:23been trying a lot of little things from Dollarama because you can get some pretty good stuff
00:27at Dollarama. Some is good and I rate them and I rate many other things. But today it's
00:32this. It's a fine Italian Puffy Pastry without hydronated fats. Al Sol Dolce if I'm saying
00:41that right. And keep in a dry place. And yes it looks like it's imported by Dollarama.
00:47So they part with them or something with the company and they get these treats and they
00:51sell them at their store. Because that's not a sticker. That's literally right on the package
00:56at Dollarama. So let's see here. The calories are 150. The fat is 12. The trans fat is 25.
01:05The fiber is 4. The sugar is 3. The potassium is 1. Calcium is 1. Iron is 10. Now let's
01:14see the ingredients. Oh good I can actually read the ingredients. Sometimes I can't read
01:18the ingredients and I should get some reading glasses because they're so small. I think
01:23sometimes they don't want you to read. Wheat flour. Vegetable margarine. Palm oil. Water.
01:31Fatty acids. Butter. Skinned milk. May contain hazelnut, egg, and soy. So obviously they
01:39are not gluten free and they may contain hazelnut and eggs and all because wheat flour is the
01:44main ingredient. Vanilla. Natural flavoring. Cocoa. Butter. Honey. And some words I just
01:50can't seem to pronounce. But I like the packaging. I hope they're packaged individually though.
01:57Oh they're not! They're not packaged individually. So they're not packaged individually as you
02:05see and as I think they should be. Because these are going to dry out by the time I go
02:10home. So I've got to put these away and make sure they don't fall out. But these are what
02:16they look like. There's nothing in the middle. There's nothing at all. Oh I figured there'd
02:24be some cream or something. So basically these are just like puffy flakes. Nothing special.
02:31Nothing more than that. They say what they are. I guess if you wanted to open them up
02:50and put butter or something in there you could. You know, go ahead and put some butter in
02:55there or peanut butter. But it does have a nice taste. I think these would be good with
03:01tea. I drink a lot of tea. Every morning I have green tea with honey. I do have coffee
03:09and these would be good with coffee but they're not individually wrapped. That actually kind
03:13of upsets me. Because I would love, like if they only had three of them. They have quite
03:18a few in there. As you can see there's quite a few in there. But they're not individually
03:38wrapped. I kind of wish that they were wrapped in like a three or five pack. Because that
03:44to me is kind of like, well I guess you can just put them in Ziploc bags and take them
03:48with you. But a lot of things that I have been reviewing lately are individually wrapped
03:54and make it easier for people just to take with them. Unfortunately this is, it actually
03:59smells good too. And there's the sugar on top or whatever that is. Yeah that's sugar
04:06on top. I just wanted to try it again and see if, oh yeah. See? You can actually open
04:12them and put your butter on. You can even put cheese in the middle. Stuff like that
04:16and close it up. So it's just nothing, it's nothing special. It's just a pastry. They're
04:33pretty consistent too in flavor. The other one was just as good. The other one kind of
04:37like broke apart a little easier though. I would like to actually see what I could put
04:41in the middle of this. And then just eat it that way. Or break it up and dip it in
04:46some cheese dip or something. I think that would actually be really good. Or some chocolate
04:51or fondue or something. These would be good for that. But individually wrapped, well you
04:55know what? These are simple. These are simple. I would simply just give them a 6 out of 10.
05:01They're not great. Maybe a 7. Between 6 and a 7. These are actually kind of hard to review
05:05because they say what they are and they're very simple. And for the price you can't go
05:19wrong but just remember, unfortunately they're not individually wrapped. I know I keep on
05:24saying that but it's actually irritating me. And this just broke. By me just doing this.
05:29So they break easily so maybe you couldn't be able to put cream in it or something. So
05:33yeah, I would just give them a 6 out of 10. Or maybe even a 5. You know, a 5 out of 10.
05:39They're okay. They are what they say they are. They're nothing special. They're kind
05:42of like those things that you would just gradually have with a tea or coffee. Or something you
05:48would grab and not even think about. And you would eat it going, it's okay. It's not great.
05:52It's not perfect. It's okay. And that's what I think these things are. Alright everyone.
05:57Bye for now. Have an incredible day. Check out my other reviews and food and much more.
06:02And thank you again for watching.
