00:00Oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo
00:17Love, soft as an easy chair
00:26Love, fresh as the morning
00:32It's my own song, I can't believe it
00:35Whoa, love that is shared by two
00:44I have found with you
00:52Like a rose under the April snow
00:59Remember Johnny?
01:02I was always certain love would grow
01:07And Elliot behind him, I think this is adorable
01:10Love, ageless and evergreen
01:18Seldom seen by two
01:27You and I will make each night a first
01:36Every day a beginning
01:44Spirits rise and the dance is unrehearsed
01:52They warm and excite us
01:56Cause we have the brightest love
02:03Two lights that shine as one
02:09Morning glory and the midnight sun
02:17Time we've learned to celebrate
02:24Time won't change the meaning of
02:32One love, ageless and ever, evergreen
03:02Thank you, thank you.
03:20This is nice, this is going to be nice to remember.
03:26The list of talented and gifted people, really,
03:30superb people in my profession tonight
03:33is so impressive and so long
03:36and I don't want to embarrass them.
03:38I couldn't possibly acknowledge them all,
03:40but you know who you are.
03:42And I decided that I would limit my introduction
03:46to two very special mothers.
03:51First of all, a woman without whom I would be nothing.
03:56Literally.
03:59My mother, Diana Kind, Diana Streisand Kind.
04:04Don't sing, mother, but where are you?
04:09There's my mommy.
04:19You look very pretty, mom.
04:24My mother, like me, was always afraid of flying.
04:27You can sit down now, ma.
04:30She'll stay there forever.
04:33And she actually got on a plane to come here
04:35and I'm very proud of you for that, I think.
04:37You see, you're never too old to grow.
04:42Since the death of her husband,
04:44the great Martin Luther King Jr.,
04:47this woman has walked his dream every day.
04:51It is my privilege to introduce Coretta Scott King.
04:58Hi, Coretta.
05:01So happy you're here.
05:14Thank you for coming.
05:19But there is also a woman here tonight who I'm crazy about.
05:24She is a person whom I admire for herself in her own right.
05:29Ladies and gentlemen, the woman from whom
05:31the President of the United States
05:33inherited his tenacity, his compassion, his optimism,
05:38his mother, Virginia Clinton Kelly.
06:00Well, this is the start of a new year.
06:06And there is a new spirit, a new hope sweeping the country.
06:11You feel it?
06:13It's a chance for new beginnings,
06:15a chance to heal old wounds, to reach out to one another.
06:21Of course, there will be setbacks along the way.
06:27But in the meantime, we have a lot to celebrate,
06:31to be living in this great country of ours
06:34in these exciting and changing times.
