00:00Storm Lillian has been and gone so the weather's looking more settled for the
00:03Bank Holiday weekend. Right? Well, not quite. It's going to be a very wet start
00:08across parts of the Midlands, central, southern and eastern England on Saturday
00:11morning with spells of heavy rain especially so in the southeast where
00:14there could be over a month's worth of rainfall leading to local flooding
00:17there. The rest of the UK though a fine and bright start but blustery showers
00:21to the northwest. By around Saturday lunchtime that heavy rain will clear
00:24away but England and Wales will experience an afternoon of sunshine and
00:28showers some of which will be heavy. Some showers will also affect the
00:31northwest of Scotland and Northern Ireland but to the south and east of
00:34these areas it will be mostly fine and bright. It will be a cool day overall for
00:38the time of year with temperatures up into the high teens at best. Sunday sees
00:42showers across the north and west of the UK, dry and brighter further south and
00:46more persistent rain spreading across Northern Ireland, the north of England
00:49and Wales and Western Scotland and finally Bank Holiday Monday sees cloudy
00:53skies and showery rain across Northern Ireland, northwest England moving up
00:57towards Scotland but southern areas of the UK will be mostly fine and settled.
