00:00If you're looking at the timeline of when the commanders want to compete, we realistically
00:04think it's going to be two to three years from now. Like even if, if Jayden goes out
00:09and has a Stroud S year, okay, next year you make a bunch of moves and you do what they
00:13did with digs and you try to bring people in and next year you're trying to compete.
00:18Well, John Dotson's got two years left on this contract and they've already paid Devante
00:21Smith. They've already paid AJ Brown. And so the chances that three years from now,
00:25and more likely you'll be competitive. And you're three of Jaden Daniels that, that John
00:30Dotson's still an Eagle. Like you're not even really competing with them. And I think to
00:34even add on to that JP, I didn't talk about this as much yesterday, but it's something
00:38I'm definitely going to bring up today. And so your listeners and you get a preview of
00:41this first. Dan Quinn's been competing against John Dotson for two years when he was the
00:46D coordinator in Dallas and he's watched Mike Sanders still play against them every single
00:50day. You think if they were that scared with all due respect to Johan, who I think will
00:54be better in Philadelphia suits a little bit more of what they do that he, than what
00:57they were asking him to do here. But if they were that scared of John Dotson, do you think
01:01they would have traded him in division? Like, no, they, they, he's not going to be the player
01:06that I think we hoped he became.
01:09They realize that they don't have the emotional attachment to him. And so they did what they
01:13thought was best for the football team. And by the way, that thing happens to be just
01:17fine with the timeline for when they want to compete.
01:20And there's like this theory that like they took less to send them to Philly. I am confident
01:27I can guarantee you out of Peter's called a whole bunch of teams. He didn't just call
01:31Howie like Howie, man, do I have a deal for you? What's it going to take for me to get
01:35you in a car today? Like the market is the market. And, and I, and I think folks are
01:41reluctant to understand that or, or embrace it. And I get that. Maybe Jahan balls out
01:49this year. And if you want to trade them, there's more value at the deadline or, or
01:54he balls out this year and you just want to keep them, but it's entirely possible.
01:58The negative trajectory continues. And then there's even less value down the stretch or
02:02even less value next off season. It's just crazy to me that we all hammer Rivera for
02:10the draft picks. And frankly, the player evaluations throughout his tenure. And now that they've
02:16traded away Dotson, it's like, hell no. That guy was a first rounder. What are you thinking?
