00:00A rubber match in the Bronx as well. The Yankees blank the
00:08Guardians for a six nothing win. Let's start with the
00:11blanking. Garrett Cole, six innings of work, a shutout and
00:15only one hit allowed. Did have five walks and only two
00:18strikeouts but still no runs scored against him in only one
00:22hit. Garrett Cole has now started back to back games for
00:26the Yanks that have ended in a shutout. Only three earned runs
00:29for Garrett Cole allowed in his four starts in August. Now,
00:32let's get to the offense for the Yankees. Aaron Judge, his
00:3648th home run of this year, his sixth long ball in the last
00:39seven games. Austin Wells and RBI as Donnie alluded to
00:43yesterday and Giancarlo Stanton, a three run home run in
00:46the fifth that was really the icing on the cake. The Yanks
00:49win the rubber match and take the series against the
00:52Cleveland Guardians to better position them atop the American
00:55League East, atop all of the American League. Let's start
00:59with Aaron Judge. You're not supposed to be doing this in
01:02this day and age and when I say this day and age, I just mean
01:04like let's just say last 10 to 15 years where the power hitter
01:06hits a lot of home runs. You go, man, 225. That's pretty
01:09good average for that guy because he swings from his
01:11heels every single time at the plate. He's hitting 334. He has
01:1548 home runs. He has 118 RBI. This is one of the more and
01:20again coming off like an MVP season. You now look at Aaron
01:24Judge and say he's even better now than he was in his MVP like
01:28it's unbelievable to think about and and also 334 is like
01:32hey, you know what that's like that's top 20 in the American
01:35League. He's number two in the American League in batting
01:37average. Yeah. So you mean when you are pitching to Aaron
01:39Judge, you're sort of trying to pitch around him because the
01:42damage he does and still he's going to clock in probably 60
01:46home runs hit 325 or higher and they have 150 RBI. Don't you
01:52remember just the way they were trying to go over the
01:54contract situation? We don't know if he's worth that much.
01:56Holy moly. Is that guy worth every penny at this point and
02:00it's good that they don't do this in Major League Baseball.
02:02Knock knock knock. Mr. Oner Steinbrenner's. I want more
02:05money now and they probably would have to give it to him,
02:06but thank goodness they don't sit out in Major League
02:08Baseball. Some great stats from our stat man and producer Joe
02:13Frizzo. The MLB League average OPS is 713. Aaron Judge's
02:18plugging percentage alone is a 726.
