00:18to a budget that ballooned to over £900 million.
00:23From the 6th of October, Sandwell Hospital's emergency department will close, with services
00:28transferring to the new hospital. City Hospital in Birmingham will follow, with its emergency
00:34department closing in November. The new facility will offer over 700 beds, 11 operating theatres,
00:41an emergency unit and maternity services. Outpatient clinics, dye surgery and routine
00:47diagnostics will continue at Sandwell and City Hospital sites under the Sandwell and
00:52West Birmingham NHS Trust.
