00:00Residents were terrified because of the destruction of Buhawi in Barangay Asin East, Malasike, Pangasinan.

00:15In the cellphone video, you can see some men holding the glass door of a house,

00:20so that the strong wind cannot open or block it.

00:24Buhawi's destruction took almost a minute.

00:27Six houses were destroyed.

00:29One of those houses' roof and walls were removed and the items were scattered.

00:34The affected family is now living with their relatives.

00:38A few trees were also destroyed.

00:40Buhawi is just one of the places that was hit by a severe thunderstorm.

00:44Although the weather will be hot again in the near future,

00:47in a large part of the country, including Pangasinan and Metro Manila,

00:51thunderstorms are still possible later in the day or night.

00:55Based on the rainfall forecast of Metro Weather,

00:57heavy to intense rain is expected in some places,

01:00which can cause floods or landslides.

01:03So be alert, fellow citizens.

01:05Easterlies are the ones that will give today a high chance of rain in Eastern Visayas,

01:10Karaga, and Davao region, according to the forecast.

01:13There is no direct effect on the weather in the country.

01:16The new storm in the Pacific Ocean is a tropical storm with an international name, Shan-Shan.

01:22The chance of a said storm entering the PAR is low.
