00:00When the Philippine Area of Responsibility for the recent typhoon came out,

00:07a new low-pressure area was discovered.

00:10It was expected to be 980 kilometers east of Mindanao.

00:14For now, the chance of it being a typhoon is low.

00:17But weather updates are still coming in

00:19because it is still possible for the data on the LPA to change

00:23while it is far away and in the ocean.

00:26The LPA has yet to have an effect on the current situation.

00:30Heavy rains and local thunderstorms are still going to hit the country today.

00:36the chances of rain will be high in some parts of the Northern and Central Luzon,

00:40Calabarzon,

00:41Mimaropa Region,

00:42Visayas,

00:43and Mindanao

00:44based on the rainfall forecast of Metra Weather.

00:47It is expected to rain almost the entire country this weekend,

00:50especially in the afternoon and evening.

00:52It is possible for heavy to intense rains to cause floods or landslides.

00:57The chances of rain will also be high here in Metro Manila this weekend,
