00:00next for you. Kyle Shanahan and the Niners as they get ready for the season.
00:08They of course are still dealing with a lot of things off the field whether it's
00:10IU, Trent Williams, etc. But one thing that has been a constant this offseason
00:16as opposed to last show is Brock Purdy is healthy and he's been involved in all
00:21of the offseason program. He spent a lot of time with his teammates, leadership
00:24through the roof now for Brock. I just think when you've done what you've done
00:28on the field, it's always easier. I mean I don't care how you are, no matter
00:32what type of leader or how you want to command or demand things from people. If
00:37you haven't had much success on the field, that doesn't last very long. He did
00:41that as a rookie but then he was so caught off just trying to come back from
00:45his injury. Now after having a second year in where he had an unbelievable
00:48year, he's in a much more natural position to do it. I think he does do it
00:52naturally but the team, based off of what he's done, he's earned their respect on
00:57the field and they know him as a guy inside and out and no one respects him
01:02one more as a person than how much they respect Brock. A lot of respect, Joe, for
01:07Brock Purdy. A lot of respect. MVP. MVP this year. A lot of pressure. A lot of pressure, not
01:14just on Brock, on the guy doing the talking. It's one thing to run
01:19through the regular season and have one of the best records and maybe
01:24get to a Super Bowl but the bullseye's on his back as well. There's no
01:29difference between Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco and Andy Reid in Philadelphia,
01:35in my opinion. Andy Reid had to go to KC and get the homes before he won his first
01:41Super Bowl. If they don't make the Super Bowl this year, what do you do? Do you
01:45make the same assessment about Shanahan? Yeah, I don't think that he'd get chopped,
01:52Joe, if they didn't make the Super Bowl this year or win the Super Bowl. I don't think that. I think when guys win as much as he has, you don't usually
02:01don't look to chop them. I mean, I know we've seen stranger things in the past
02:05but I just don't think that that's gonna happen. They love him out there, Joe. Love
02:10him. He does no wrong. Gets no heat. There's been no heat on him and he
02:14should have taken some for some of these big losses that they've had but they're
02:18going nowhere. I think they need to figure out what's gonna go on with IU,
02:21Joe, before anything else because that changes things for them offensively,
02:27whether he's gonna be out there or not once that season gets cooking.
