00:00Houston. Justin Verlander
00:07makes his return for Houston
00:09today. He has not pitched since
00:12June 9th over two months. The
00:14veteran righty is back on the
00:16mound. The Astros a favorite at
00:18home day baseball in H town
00:21minus 1 44 that updated
00:23number. This is the rubber match
00:25Houston one game one by a
00:27single run walking it off the
00:29mound and the game winning solo
00:31home run in the top of the
00:33eighth inning. What can we
00:35expect out of Justin Verlander?
00:37How does it affect your handicap
00:39for the rubber match in Houston?
00:41It's a tough handicap and maybe
00:43just a handicap. We've been
00:44using here in Houston been for
00:45the past couple nights, you
00:46know, quality pitchers might get
00:48to the mound, but these lineups
00:49really are locking in and
00:51looking good. So you got back
00:52to back overs and maybe we get
00:54that again because if we focus
00:55just on Cooper Criswell for the
00:57Boston Red Sox and we take a
00:58look at how he starts this
00:59season. He's got 36 innings
01:01pitched on the road. Ben a 5.25
01:03era and an x-fifth. That's 4.63.
01:05That's high. You're going up
01:06against a lineup. And even if
01:07we move Jose Altuve over the
01:09past 30 days doesn't have very
01:10good numbers against right-handed
01:11pitching, which is kind of crazy
01:13but Bregman Alvarez DS Payne
01:15Singleton and Karatini all
01:17elevated numbers. They should
01:18hit they should be able to put
01:19up runs and from a Verlander
01:21perspective. Let's just say he
01:22is very good. Does that mean
01:24Ben his leash is a hundred and
01:25fifteen pitches like back in
01:27the day? No, he might probably
01:28be going four to five innings
01:29max, which will leave it open
01:31to that bullpen to try to get
01:32after him. And also as we take
01:34a look at that Boston Red Sox
01:35lineup, we love it as well.
01:36They've been crushing right
01:37handed pitching over the past
01:38month here. Durant O'Brien
01:40Devers O'Neill and Yoshida all
01:42with heavy ISO power numbers
01:43and weighted on base
01:44percentages here. So for my
01:46money instead of just saying
01:47like, well, I think Verlander
01:48can be back to form or I think
01:50Chris was going to be a bad
01:51pitcher. I do think we get
01:52another over in this game
01:54afternoon game. Not a not a
01:56pitcher's ballpark to say the
01:57least. I think we get some runs
01:58in this one. We'll keep with
01:59that same mo of the past two
02:01games.
