The Premier League Panel: Can any of the newly-promoted sides survive?

  • last month
Our expert panel is back to take a look at this year's relegation battle. Can any of the newly-promoted sides survive? And what does it take to keep a team up?

00:00We're running low on time. I suppose, Jason, I'll just ask you, are there any other teams
00:04very quickly that you feel might be in trouble? I was kind of half looking at Brentford,
00:08wondering if they've made enough progress over the last year or two after a good start?
00:12Yeah, Brentford's a tricky one, isn't it? If I'm being honest, I think they've probably got
00:18enough to survive. One who I do sort of worry for is Wolves. I think that if you look at the
00:24players that they've lost, Pedro Neto, Max Killman, have they really recruited well enough
00:30so far to replace those players? I'm not overly sure. The transfer budget isn't meant to be
00:35particularly large either, sort of £20 million they've got to spend over the remainder of the
00:39window, according to some reports. So I worry for them. I think that Gary O'Neill's a fantastic
00:44manager. I think he's done a wonderful job there. I'm not necessarily convinced that they're going
00:47to be relegated, but I do think that this season has the potential to be quite a difficult one.
00:54I hope I'm proven wrong, but that's just my gut feeling on this.
00:58Well, just to wrap up the show then, Mark, I'm just going to come to you very quickly.
01:01Who's your bottom three?
01:04I'm going to go with a really, really, really boring answer of the three that came up.
01:10I think they're just not quite equipped yet. I'll be honest, that might change over the next 10
01:15days once the transfer window closes, but as it stands, that would be the three that came up for
01:20me.
