00:00Just one night there was an incident where there were probably a couple of hundred people there

00:12what he described as 20 kids, but because he were there and people were going and

00:19Giving statements. I said to Jay, I think you should go and do a statement

00:24because they were appealing for witnesses and what have you so I

00:28Took him myself. I took him to the police station at Blackburn Greenbank police station

00:35And he gave his version of events and he weren't you know, they weren't I didn't think anything of it

00:41I just said just go tell them tell them your

00:44version and that were that

00:47Nothing were really mentioned afterwards, you know, there were names flying around and obviously the there is a big group of friends and

00:55then it weren't till

01:02So that were the August following April. I later came through

01:08Saying that Jay were being charged with

01:11violent disorder and

01:14Alright, but what well, you know what's going on? So I

01:19rang the police station straight away and

01:21Because Jay's name had been mentioned out of 20 people who'd apparently attacked him

01:27there was eight boys that got named and

01:31Jay's name were one of the names

01:35Jay attended the trial

01:38Statements that were taken

01:41Saying Jay was stood at the back

01:47But obviously the eight were found guilty by jury and they all

01:52They were all found guilty and yet and they all got community service. It's kind of guilty by association

01:58don't mean to say that he struck a blow that he

02:01You know that he harmed Tom and I think he's seen him since

02:05There's there's grown men dad's granddad's

02:09Who get done for violent disorder for a fight that breaks out say outside a football stadium most weekends, you know

02:19But because of obviously

02:23You know Jay's in the

02:26The limelight they just want just every bad thing that they can say about him. They have done

02:34They don't know Jay they don't know

02:36His background they don't know his upbringing. They don't know anything about Jay these people

02:43Just not all these people who were just saying horrible things about him. It weren't that person

02:48It loved being me his family

02:51They weren't a bad person, you know people dragging up all things that they don't even know about when it was
