'Republicans for Harris': some former Trump staff calling to vote against him

00:00For years, Rich Logis wore the MAGA banner with pride.
00:05In 2016, the 47-year-old businessman campaigned for Donald Trump.
00:10But this time around, he's voting for Kamala Harris.
00:13Donald Trump has pitted complete strangers against each other.
00:17He has elevated and amplified conspiracy theories that he almost certainly knew resulted in
00:25death and trauma.
00:28Logis said it was Trump's handling of the COVID pandemic and the January 6th attacks
00:32on the Capitol that caused him to become a co-founder of Republicans for Harris.
00:38On Monday night, he took his message to the DNC.
00:41I finally stepped outside the MAGA echo chamber, I stopped listening to what Trump said and
00:47looked around with my own eyes.
00:49And I realized he had been lying about pretty much everything.
00:52In Chicago, Democrats are highlighting other Republicans who have turned on Trump.
00:57Tuesday's emcee in prime time is Anna Navarro, a Republican TV pundit.
01:02And among the speakers is Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican congressman who served
01:07as co-chair of the January 6th committee, along with Jeff Duncan, who served as lieutenant
01:12governor in Georgia when Trump attempted to overturn the election results there in 2020.
01:18The Trump campaign issued a statement insulting the Republicans appearing at the convention,
01:22saying, we thought the DNC was supposed to be filled with celebrities, not D-list failed
01:27CNN contributors.
01:29But dissent is coming even from some who once served under the former president.
01:34Two former Trump staffers are also voicing their support of Harris at the convention.
01:38Olivia Troy, a former national security official, and Stephanie Grisham, who served as Trump's
01:43White House press secretary.
