00:00When we received the report from the DOH that there was a first case of Mpox in the Philippines, we immediately activated our quick response team for Mpox.
00:13Based on our investigation, a 33-year-old patient went to our two establishments.
00:21So this 33-year-old patient, to our knowledge, is not a Quezon City resident.
00:29However, he patronized two of our establishments in Quezon City.
00:35One was a dermatology clinic where he got his check-ups.
00:39The other was a massage parlor where he got his massages.
00:43On August 15, the patient went for a consult because he noticed some skin diseases.
00:50In the doctor's assessment, the patient also noticed skin lesions on his face, arms, back, and other parts of his body.
01:00When the doctor saw this, he immediately coordinated with the barangay to transfer the patient to RITM and get a specimen.
01:11Last week, the specimen came out positive and it was positive for Mpox.
01:17That's why we immediately evacuated.
01:20That's why we activated our quick response team and immediately conducted contact tracing.
