Transcript
00:00Could you tell me what building in Sheffield you'd most happily see demolished?
00:03Maybe the Debenhams one if nothing can go in there. I don't, yeah, I'm not sure on that one I'm afraid.
00:10Tell me what building in Sheffield you would most happily see demolished?
00:14Well as we've discussed is that the Old City Hall down at the Wicker Market, it's the old market
00:21there. It's either do it up or knock it down because at the moment it's neither. It's honestly,
00:27you walk past it you can actually smell the rot, the rotten wood as you walk past it.
00:33Do something with it.
00:35Tell me what Sheffield building you would most happily see demolished?
00:38This one right in front of me.
00:40And which one's that?
00:41The John Lewis building.
00:42What's, what do you dislike about it?
00:44I think it's ugly, it's, um, architecture wise it's got nothing appealing even though
00:50I know it's a great tool, it's a building, but it has no appealing features whatsoever
00:56and so much more could be made of the space if this building was demolished.
01:00This could be a real focal point in the city centre.
01:04Tell me what building in Sheffield you would most happily see demolished?
01:07The building right behind you, I think it's the old John Lewis,
01:09nothing's happening and I think it's just a little bit 1950s style, get rid.
01:14Is that something you particularly dislike?
01:17Not with a passion, I just think if I had to pick around here especially I'd say that one there.
01:22Tell me which building in Sheffield you would most happily see demolished?
01:25Park Hill Flats, but I know it's a divisive one, but definitely that one.
01:29In my opinion it's still a little bit of an eyesore, they could have done better.
01:32I know it's listed but, you know, that's my opinion.
