Police believe the death of a two-year-old boy found by a passerby at Pantai Leman, Kuala Kedah, on Tuesday afternoon (Aug 20) is connected to the murders of a woman and her daughter discovered at a different location the previous day.

00:16According to a report by Utusan Malaysia, the boy had slash wounds on his neck, similar
00:21to those found on the 34-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter.
00:26This has led investigators to suspect that the boy may be the third victim of a foreign
00:31national believed to be behind the killings.
00:34Kedahm Deputy Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Adzli Abushah reported that the child's body
00:39was discovered around noon, bearing injuries consistent with those sustained by the woman
00:44and her daughter, who were found dead in a drain behind an abandoned building on Monday.
00:49While police are working to confirm the child's identity, preliminary investigations suggest
00:54he may be the suspect's youngest child, who is believed to have also been killed on Sunday.
01:00Police believe the suspect disposed of the child's body in a drain on Jalan Pergawai,
01:05about two kilometres from the murder scene, where it was then carried out to sea.
01:09DCP Adzli also revealed that the suspect had three children, one of whom is still missing.
01:15Another son, aged five, was rescued by police when the suspect was apprehended on Monday
01:20night.
01:22The 43-year-old suspect has been remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation,
01:27which is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for Murder.
