00:00We're here at the NSW Farmer's Tent with Jolene Young from Parley Wool.
00:03Jolene, how many years have you been coming to Agquit for?
00:06Oh, probably the last 35.
00:08Oh my gosh, and what's brought you back this year?
00:10Well, I'm an Executive Councillor sort of thing, so NSW Farmers, yeah, we spend a bit of time here.
00:17My husband's off looking at bits and pieces sort of thing.
00:20Time kicking.
00:21Yeah, yeah.
00:22Is there anything that you wanted to have a look at while you're here today?
00:25Yeah, I'll probably go down the other end and have a look at some of the garden stuff or whatever.
00:31Yeah, no, fantastic.
00:32And can you tell me a little bit about your operation?
00:34What do you do out at Parley Wool?
00:35We're mixed farming.
00:36We're grain, sheep and cattle.
00:38So here with Jason Harris, Gunnedah local at the Agquit field day.
00:44Jason, tell me a bit about why you're here today.
00:46Is there anything in particular you're looking for?
00:47No, I'm not touching anything in particular this year.
00:50Just come and have a look, see what sort of deals are around and yeah,
00:53check out some of the new farming technology and the likes.
00:56How good is it to have an event like this in your backyard?
00:58Yeah, it's fantastic for the Gunnedah community.
01:00Just through the week, the businesses in the street,
01:03just the pick up and trade with all the exhibitors here for the set up and whatever.
01:07So yeah, it's great for the town.
01:09Sean from Nutrium Mudgy.
01:10Sean, tell me a little bit about your day so far.
01:12Who have you met?
01:13What have they been asking?
01:14Yeah, so I've had a good morning on the Nutrium site at Nutrium Gunnedah.
01:19We're exhibiting a lot of the crushes and other
01:22capital type equipment that farmers might be interested in.
01:25And a lot of inquiry around the premium cattle crush that we're standing next to here
01:30with all the hydraulics.
01:33Great bit of kit.
01:34For sure.
01:34And obviously being based in Mudgy,
01:36tell me how the season's going over that way at the moment.
01:38Yeah, so we're just starting to hit,
01:40it's a little bit later the season there than here.
01:42So we're just starting to hit our early part of spring.
01:44We've had some really good rain through winter
01:46and we're seeing some really good early growth.
01:48Mark, can you tell me a little bit about your business?
01:50What are you exhibiting today?
01:52So we manufacture cattle handling equipment,
01:54so mainly cattle crushes,
01:56which we've been doing for 40 years now.
02:00So we have a range of different models from manual basic crushes
02:05through to hydraulic crushes,
02:06so which we've all got on display today.
02:09And what's everyone asking you so far today?
02:12A lot of interest so far on the hydraulic
02:14because it's labour saving and efficiencies
02:17and ease of use is mainly what people are looking for now.
02:21Macy, tell me a little bit about what you're looking for today.
02:24Why are you at AgQuip?
02:25I just came down to do a bit of shopping,
02:28buy some new clothes, that's about all.
02:30I've been coming to AgQuip every year,
02:32so I thought I'd better make it again this year.
02:35So FarmBot's a water monitoring management company,
02:38so we do remote water,
02:40so tank level, flow rate, all that,
02:43all related to water on your property.
02:46And yeah, we're just out here telling people about it
02:48and trying to save a bit of time and money
02:50and give them a bit of peace of mind,
02:51give them a holiday maybe.
02:54Of course, and I mean,
02:54I assume you've had quite a few clients come up
02:56and see you guys, but also prospective buyers,
02:58you know, what kind of questions are they asking?
03:00Yeah, a lot of existing customers.
03:03It's surprising when you come to an event like this
03:04how many people actually have FarmBot
03:06and it's really nice getting first person feedback,
03:10you know, from people on the ground that really use it.
