Financial assistance para sa displaced OFWs, itinaas sa P150-K

00:00From Php 50,000, President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. raised and made Php 150,000 in financial assistance for displaced or overseas Filipino workers,
00:15just like the OFWs coming back from Lebanon, where tensions are high.
00:21According to Migrant Workers Secretary Hanslio Cuacda, President Marcos' order is for the OFWs to unite to fight the OFWs in Lebanon.
00:30President Marcos said to increase the financial assistance rate.
00:34From Php 50,000, we made Php 75,000 from DMW, Php 75,000 from OA, so that's Php 150,000 financial assistance upon return.
00:43And then, of course, there is the DOH, Secter de Herbosa, with physical checkups upon arrival and psychosocial counseling ready.
00:53And then, Secrex, Kachalyan, and DSWD with livelihood.
00:57But, Migrant Workers Secretary Cuacda clarified, the OFWs who first came back from Lebanon and received Php 50,000 will not be included in this.
01:07The training voucher will also be given to them.
01:10The secret said, the DOH will also help the OFWs to get a job here.
01:16Above all, the Philippine Embassy repeatedly called on the OFWs to come back to our country.
01:23According to Secretary Cuacda, the government is already in a voluntary repatriation mode for the Filipinos in Lebanon.
01:30Documented or undocumented, they will help and prepare the government.
01:36We are monitoring their situation, we're talking to Filipino communities on the ground, we're bringing them to safe shelter.
01:41And speaking of shelter, we have a shelter ready for them.
01:44And then, of course, we have a crisis plan, we're all set, we're all ready, we're prepared in terms of our crisis management plans.
01:53Hopefully, the situation doesn't get worse, but we are ready in case the situation gets worse.
02:00According to the Overseas Workers' Welfare Administration, for those who want to return to their country,
02:05they can fill out a form on the link provided in their social media accounts.
02:10For those who need immediate help, they can also call on their hotline.
02:15The Filipinos were also encouraged to evacuate to a safer place.
02:21We have the President since day one also, convene us all since day one, the relevant government agencies, DOH, DOLE, DFA, TESDA, TMW, OWA,
02:31to come together and provide the utmost post-repatriation assistance, post-arrival assistance.

02:40More than 11,000 OFWs in Lebanon, most of them are found in Beirut.
02:46Of these, more than 300 have availed of the government's repatriation program.
02:52Just last weekend, there were 15 who came home, and about 1,000 have expressed interest to come home.
02:59But 45 said they're ready to come home, so that 45 will be coming home soon.
03:04Hopefully, later this week, they are right now undergoing through Lebanese immigration procedures as facilitated by our embassy
