00:14Alien Romulus scared up a strong debut. It topped the domestic chart with $41.5 million,
00:20well ahead of projections.
00:21I spoke to director Fede Alvarez at the film's Hollywood premiere,
00:25and he told me this about the movie's use of practical effects.
00:28It just went all the way to create creatures with the technology of today, right?
00:32With the philosophy of the old movies, but with technology of today to create something
00:37that people don't see on screen every day.
00:38As for the rest of the chart, Deadpool and Wolverine came in second after dominating
00:42the box office for three consecutive weekends.

00:47The Marvel and Disney movie made another $29 million, for a domestic total so far of $545.8 million.
00:54It ends with Us ended up in third.
00:56The movie brought in $24 million its second weekend in theaters,

01:07In its first seven days, the movie earned $73.7 million,
