00:31That's in line with expectations, and a strong start for this, the sixth installment of the
00:35Despicable Me Minions series, which, by the way, ranks as the highest-grossing animated
00:40franchise of all time.

00:46Despicable Me 4 sees Gru, voiced by Steve Carell, welcome a new son, Gru Jr., and face
00:52off against a new nemesis, voiced by Will Ferrell.
00:55In fact, the movie was actually co-written by Mike White, the man behind The White Lotus.

01:15And did you know that, actually, last weekend, Inside Out 2 joined the Billion Dollar Club

01:24Moving in at number three, A Quiet Place, day one.
01:27Another franchise flick!
01:28This one brought in $21 million this weekend.
01:31In fourth, a 24 slasher film, Maxine, with $6.7 million.
01:36And rounding out the top five, Bad Boys for Life, Ride or Die, with $6.5 million.
