00:00Hey friends, hope you're well.

00:07In this video, I'd like to give you the update which Microsoft released in the new July 2023

00:12version regarding the on object feature.

00:15Now, the on object feature means that we can select any kind of visual like this one, for

00:19instance, and then based on our selection, we can directly click on these icons here

00:24to either choose the data we want here, as well as, as you can see here, what kind of

00:28visual we want.

00:29Currently, it's this donut chart, but I can switch it here if I want, and we can also

00:34go up here and do our formatting.

00:37Now, if you work with Power BI in 2022, for instance, so in earlier versions, then you

00:43were actually more familiar with these options here actually pinned up there on the upper

00:48right.

00:49Now, if you want to switch this back, you can easily do this using the pane switcher,

00:54which means that you can click on this little icon here, and you can say, move to pane switcher.

00:58And if you do that, then you see that now you have the box here with all the visuals

01:04up there on the right side again, and then you can use it here.

01:07So it depends on what you prefer, and you can easily switch it back by simply click

01:11this icon again here, and then say, want to move to visual, and then it's back on the

01:15visual itself.

01:16So it's really up to you what kind of option you want to use.

01:20This is now available for you.

01:22Besides doing it here, you could also go under the view tab, and there's also this option

01:27pane switcher, and you can go there, and then you can say, I want to move here to pane switcher,

01:32and then you can switch it here, or you can, of course, go back there again, and you can

01:36untick this option, and then it's back on the visual.

01:40If you're just wondering what this actually means, this always show pane switcher, this

01:43just means if you take a look at the little bar here at the side, the data view, if I

01:48untick this here, you see that this is gone.

01:50That is the only thing which this does, and the second thing which is new is that beside

01:56clicking on these icons here to add them here to the pane, like for instance, if I click

02:01on format, you will see here there's also the format option here.

02:04If I click on bookmarks, I will find the bookmarks and so on.

02:06So this is an option, and new in the July 2023 release, you can also click on the plus

02:11symbol here.

02:12So customize pane switcher, if you click here, then you can simply check here the boxes,

02:17what you want to see and what not.

02:18So if I go to selection, you will see that this also appears in here.

02:21So it's up to you how you want to do it.

02:23But this plus symbol now is also available for you.

02:26I just wanted to mention this because in the videos when I recorded that, that was not

02:30available.
