00:00So, me and my wife own Bricks and Bits in Hastings, which we sell a variety of different

00:06building bricks.

00:07We're a local family run business and last year we decided to do the first ever Hastings

00:13Brick Fair and it was a very small event but it was really popular, so this year we've

00:18got a much bigger venue and we've got more sellers and it's just a much larger event

00:24and this year we've actually decided to give half of all of our door sales to Macmillan.

00:29It's a charity that's very close to our family at the moment.

00:32I think it's, the reason Lego's so popular with children is it gets your creative juices

00:37flowing and like you said, you can have kids that will sit on a game all day but to sit

00:44and build Lego, you have to use your imagination and even as an adult, it kind of brings the

00:50kid out of you again and I think the thing with Lego is there's no age limit.

00:56You can be four to 104, it doesn't matter and I think that's why it's so popular as

01:01well and also children or adults with special needs, Lego's very good for autism.

01:09It gets people concentrating on something and with ADHD, it gets you focused on building

01:17rather than all the distractions in life.

01:20At the moment, we've literally in September, we've moved to a bigger premises.

01:24We now do kids building workshops, birthday parties, team building events for adults.

01:31We're hiring it out now so people can come and do that so that's going to continually

01:34move forward.

01:36We've just recently started a pre-loved section where we're selling second hand Lego as well

01:40as all the new products that we sell.

01:43Eventually, the plan is we would like to move our pre-loved section downstairs and have

01:47a whole room dedicated to pre-loved where people can come and trade in their sets with

01:52us and then that will leave us a bit more space upstairs where we can actually start

01:56selling bits and pieces.

01:59People if they're missing bits for sets, they can actually come and buy bits and pieces.
