00:07The Department of Health has intensified surveillance detection and contact tracing
00:13following the reported case of MPOC in the Philippines.
00:17According to Health Secretary, Telefosa, a 33-year-old man from NCR
00:23who tested positive for the disease,
00:26the patient did not have a travel history outside the country,
00:31but there was close contact.
00:34Some of the symptoms of MPOC are fever,
00:37nausea,
00:39and the presence of swelling in various parts of the body.
00:44Contaminate some materials like clothes and utensils of infected individuals.
00:51But soap and water will kill the virus.
00:55All of the symptoms that we will describe,
00:59we hope that the doctor will look at them
01:02so that if they need to be tested,
01:04the doctor will decide if they need to be tested for MPOC or not.
01:11The release of sulfur dioxide from the Taal Volcano in the Batangas province is still ongoing.
01:16According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology,
01:21the sulfur dioxide released by the volcano reached 3,355 tons.
01:28The public is being careful because the volcanic smog
01:33from the high sulfur dioxide is having a negative effect on health.
01:40For now, the volcano is still under Alert Level 1.
