Après quelques étapes plates et vallonnées, les coureuses du Tour de France Femmes attaquaient la montagne ce samedi lors de la 7e et avant-dernière étape. Au programme notamment une arrivée au Grand Bornand. Mais avant ça, il fallait grimper le Col de La Croix de la Serra (catégorie 1, 12,2 km à 5,1%), les deux petites côtes de Bois d'Arlod (catégorie 4) et Cercier (catégorie 3) et enfin le Col de Saint-Jean-de-Sixt (catégorie 2, 5,4 km à 5,1%), placé juste avant la montée finale. La victoire d'étape est revenue à Justin Ghekiere (AG Insurance-Soudal).

00:00Hello and welcome to Highlights of Stage 6 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
00:13159.2km today from Rémy-Mont-Sous-Morteau.
00:17Kasia Niewiadoma taking a 19-second advantage over Kristen Faulkner into the Stage 22 to Pogpiedesa.
00:25Charlotta Kuhl in green, Pogpiedesa in the polka dot jersey is Queen of the Mountains.
00:29She also leads in the Best Young Riders classification.
00:32Tough day ahead of the riders, 2,200m of climbing, many climbs along the route.
00:39Cat 4 climbs, Cat 3 is the Cat 2, La Roche-du-Plat coming with 26.1 to go.
00:45Bonus sprint with 21.2 to go, but a really tough day in the saddle for the riders.
00:52There was an early breakaway group that did go clear.
00:5618 riders in total, it included the likes of Marianne Vos, who was chasing points for the green jersey classification.
01:06With 25 points on offer at the sprint in Saint-Cy by taking first place,
01:12she would go level in the green jersey classification to Charlotta Kuhl.
01:18Could Marianne Vos hang on to take either a stage victory or collect some points at the finish?
01:24Her teammate Femme Van Empel was setting a great pace on the front as we went to La Roche-du-Plat.
01:30The great contained at this point, Niamh Fisher-Black, Christine Mejeres, Justine Hergira,
01:36Grace Brown, Soraya Paladin, Franzie Koch, Ellen Van Dyck, just to name a few.
01:42It was splintering as the climb went on and it was SD Works Niamh Fisher-Black who came to the summit
01:48with Justine Hergira chasing to get back on like she'd been fired out of a cannon,
01:53but she took second place and she was riding herself into the Queen of the Mountains jersey.
01:59Juliette Labousse lives just inside 70km from the finish of the stage.
02:05The French rider was on a real rampage behind, sweeping up Justine Hergira.
02:11She had designs on taking a stage win in front of a home crowd.
02:15Rider third in line, Cédrine Cabal.
02:18Marianne Vos was in a world of pain and suffering for Wismar-Lisebaeck,
02:23trying to hang on to the group on the climb.
02:26Puck Pieterse in the Queen of the Mountains polka dot jersey,
02:29took the points over the Cote du Femme with 14.9km to go,
02:34just ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma in the yellow jersey and Damie Vollering of Team SD Works
02:39doing a really measured ride just to get through the stage.
02:4214.6km to go, Cédrine Cabal of Serre-Tisic WNT attack,
02:47took Paulina Royakas of Fenix Deceuninck with her.
02:51Meanwhile, Marianne Vos latching onto the back of the group with 10km to go.
02:56Cabal was riding the race of her life.
02:59She had dropped Royakas at the top of the descent, the former French time trial champion.
03:04She had won the white jersey of best young rider a year ago
03:08in almost a carbon copy of her victory in Durango-Durango earlier on in the season.
03:14She had railed it down the descent, showing her descending prowess.
03:19She had started the day 4th overall, 47 seconds off the yellow jersey of Kasia Niewiadoma.
03:27So she was having to put Niamh Bradbury on the front to chase things down.
03:31But into the finish, they call a kaboom.
03:34It was a big kaboom today for Cédrine Cabal.
03:37The first French stage winner of the Tour de France Femmes, Avec Zwift.
03:43Marianne Vos behind, led in the group.
03:46She would take the lead in the green jersey classification.
03:50And behind her, Liana Lippert crossed the line in 3rd.
03:53The bonus seconds would move her up to 9th in the general classification.
