00:00It came in on scholarship right away.
00:03So that was the main emphasis for me.
00:06And then also, I mean, Washington's such a great place.
00:09And I believe in what they're going to do.
00:12You're absolutely right.
00:13Did any of the Washington coaches,
00:16I know Pat Pryor coached his tight ends as well,
00:18but you mentioned you used to be a center.
00:19You started out at center at one point in your career.
00:23Is there any chance that you could return
00:25to the offensive line?
00:27I'll be frank with you.
00:28Washington kind of used some offensive line help.
00:30They got a few transfers.
00:31You were not technically one of them,
00:32but you could be an emergency center at this point.
00:35Yeah, I mean, that's one of those things that,
00:38I mean, if they really want me to do that
00:41and get back into that, I mean,
00:42I snap and just mess around for fun.
00:45And it was one of those things that I never really lost.
00:48So if that's something that they want me to consider
00:51as like an emergency center kind of position,
00:56if they're traveling and they need a guy
00:58that's third, fourth string center
00:59that knows how to do something, they can stamp the ball.
01:02Yeah, but I mean, I've been kind of out of the game
01:05at center for, I would say three, four years now.
01:08So I don't know how much of a benefit I would be,
01:13especially against guys that are in college right now.
01:16They weigh a lot more than I do, so.
01:19That is a fair point.
01:20That's why I wanted to emphasize the emergency element
01:22of that, because no disrespect to your game,
01:23but I think we both would say like,
01:25leave it on special teams.
01:27We're good there.
01:28Yeah.
01:29Did you know any of the guys on the team or did you,
01:33and if you didn't, which guys did you get to talk to
01:35when you came up for that visit?
01:38No, I didn't know any of the guys.
01:39So when I was up there,
01:41I got to meet the whole special teams group.
01:43So all the specialists, good group of guys,
01:46very tight knit, I can tell.
01:50And a lot of guys on that staff and,
01:53or I should say out of the special teams room,
01:55it was very nice to just be able to talk to them
01:57and hear what they have as a player standpoint too.
02:00When I was up there and not just hear from the coaches,
02:02but hear from the actual players of how they like it
02:05and why they're still there,
02:06what they chose, why they chose Washington
02:09and how their journey's been over the past couple of years.
02:13Gotcha.
02:14And so just a couple more questions here
02:15and I'll get you out.
02:16So you said you had two years left for sure,
02:18and then potentially three?
02:20Yeah.
02:21I got two years for sure, potential third.
02:24And are you expecting more,
02:27I'll be honest, I was slightly surprised
02:29that Jayden Green did not use his bonus year of eligibility.
02:32So that's how Washington needed a long snapper this spring.
02:34They had a walk on during spring camp.
02:36Are you expecting, besides the surprise,
02:39to be here for two years?
02:42Yeah, I mean, I love it.
02:44I mean, I'm not really surprised
02:46that it's one of those things
02:47that I was blessed with and talks with him.
02:51I knew that they had a snapper leaving
02:53and when they hit me up,
02:54I knew that their snapping situation was,
02:57they just lost their guy that they've been trusting
02:59and stuff like that.
03:00So I'm happy to be hopefully stepping up
03:04and fill in that role of,
03:05from what I've talked to with coach and everything like that.
03:08I'm ready to come in and work.
03:10So obviously nothing's given
03:12and everything has to be competed in.
03:14So like I said, that when we're on the field,
03:17it's competition, but when we're off the field,
03:19it's always gonna love for the guys
03:21and everything like that.
